Jones and I have been talking, and we've reached a bit of an impasse with Reckoning, Daro'Xen's story.

Frankly, we're both a bit... nervous, about it. We were always a bit iffy on writing it... but we attacked the first two chapters and knocked them out of the way in a flash. We've put a ton of thought, time, and effort into just what we have so far. We've written out a full plot, planned everything meticulously... and frankly... we aren't sure if it's worth the effort. We really want this thing to succeed, but at the same time, we know we're playing with fire.

Before we decide anything... we wanted to hear what other people had to say about it... being the authors/artists, we lack a certain perspective. Normally I wouldn't condone asking the audience... I'd just write... but in this instance... since it's such a large project that we invariably spend upwards of 12 hours working on a day... we wanted to get some second opinions... if that's acceptable?

I haven't gotten to read either chapter of Reckoning yet.  But once I do, I'll certainly be willing to give my opinion.  If they're short enough, I can read them tonite.  Are they short enough to read in about a half hour?

Possibly.

You could certainly read one in that amount of time.

Needs more foreshadowing and prophesizing. With a hint of "not-as-they-appear".

I ponder the idea of retreating back to my quarters for the remainder of the night.

I honestly dont know whats going on but Ive pieced together that you guys are in some sort of flame war in another thread.  I suggest just dropping it and letting it go.

I was watching the romance scene earlier today and I remember thinking how I always thought the. . . 'flanging' tone in Tali's voice was from her suit, and while it seems like much of it is, there still seems to be a bit of it that's natural like a turian voice. So I guess the question is if anyone else hears that or if it's just me.

Well, we really only hear her say one word with her mask off.  I personally thought I still heard the "flanging" tone to it, but it could be they were just too lazy to remove it from one word.

I've been sleeping like crap-o-la lately, so I don't see much of a point in leaving before 4. Unless it's a really slow night like it was. . . 2 days ago?

Exactly. There seems to be a difference between 'I'm' and 'feeling', but I'm not 100% if that's my ears playing a trick on me or a convenient audio error or what. So I thought I ask for other opinions.
