Indeed.

How the hell is it that the most sympathetic/sexy race in the game don't even have faces?

Actually... makes sense when I think about it...

It's a clever-as-hell way to avoid uncanny valley problems.

So the enslavement utter obliteration of the free will of a entire race is okay for the right goal.  Do you also support what the Reapers did to the Protheans?  Or are you just making an exception for synthetics?  What if it were the asari?  Quarians?  Humanity?

As I said, it's the hips and voice that tip me over the edge. /semi-serious
My Paragade will remain with Tali and will get Rannoch peacefully. (Unless that's impossible, I'll side with the quarians that way: quarians>geth)
My ReneDarogade will instantly join Daro'Xen.

And yes, them being synthetics does make up a large part of my indifference for their destruction/brainwashing, besides, they nearly wiped out the quarian race (like 99.9% of 'em), it's only fair if we try the same.
There may remain small pockets of resistance/survivors, and I'd try to let them coexist.

Aaaaaagh!

Exactly, but from what I understand, Buddha rarely takes the renegade options, so he might not be aware of this.

And Tali questions it.

But changing their minds along a more peaceful course for coexistence is different that returning them to the state of insentient tools.

Edit:  ^^^^ yes, I'm aware.

I'm all for peace, and will persue it, but we'll see what happens in 3. you KNOW Bioware is going to throw a curveball. We'll see what comes of it.

Yes, but Tali's just too damn selfless and kind for all of this.

To be fair, we don't know how much of their "AI-ishness" Daro plans to take away, maybe she just plans to make them more complient but keep their AI capabilities. (Like the Heretics planned to do for the Reapers)

I'll probably select whatever path doesn't have the Reapers me turning the Protheans the geth into Collectors mindless machines.

That's actually an interesting theory... not limiting their sentience... only limiting their ability to attack the quarians...

That would certainly make it a bit more morally grey...

I think not.  She explicitly denies geth personhood.  You know, her speech about doing whatever she pleases to tools?

Indeed.

Just saying, there are still things we don't know. We'l see where it goes. In all seriousnessness, I'll likely opt for peace and end up shooting Xen between the eyes.

It seems likely. She'll likely build on Rael's research.

Dumbing down the geth will only make them a less-efficient fighting force.

Not what she wants.

Better that they are simply made obedient.

What she says in ME2 suggests this is not the case.

I'd only go for quashing the geth if there's no other option.

A stand-up fight between the Geth and the Quarians will only lead up to the Quarian's extinction/weakening.

A brainwashing/reprogramming solution might work, or backfire spectacularly.

I'd much rather go for peace. Much less casualties that way.

And sorry, if Daro is the only thing standing between me and peace, and the power of ULB finds no purchase, I'll end her existence. Period.

Yes, yes. Childhood toys 'n all that.
But she might realise that this simply won't work (geth constantly using others linked to the neural network to back-up and reboot), she may eventually come to the conclusion that an adjustment to their lower algorithms is the only possible way to "reclaim" them, even if they're slightly (more advanced and) different tools than before.

Also this.
Besides, it would come in handy to have a bunch of tools that can design weapons, ships, etc. for you.

Might might might.  Let's keep the argument closer to just what can be proven within the game as it stands.  Otherwise you might as well assume that she really is a kind and gentle person and the only thing she plans, despite everything she says, is to give the geth the parental love they never had.

"We shall see."

I'm not holding out for anything until I get to the choice myself in 3. I'm sure Bioware will make convincing arguements for both actions. I look forward to seeing what they do.

That's what the heretic's virus aimed to attain.

Who knows. Paragon Shep can solve almost anything without shooting someone. Almost.
