I have trouble with writing, mainly with a little thorn like to call "writing stamina".

You see, often times I write about 3 pages of grade-A awesome stuff, and then I just tank out and never finish the story.
I lose interest in it very easily, for one of three reasons:

1) This story sucks, also, I just saw a Sci-Fi original movie that had something extremely similar in it, and I want nothing to do with that.

2) I set the story down for a couple weeks, and I completely lose the feeling of it.

3) After reading another person's writing that I judge as better than mine, I lose faith in myself.

Also, I always have trouble with how much description I should place on something.
I'm a genius with dialogue, but that text on the outside of the quotation marks always seems to fail.

I recommend this typewriter font for the banner Seriously creepy and dark. It's the font they used for the title of Serial Experiments: Lain (a Mind Screw series I would say is comparable to Cthulu level madness.

1) Sadly, there is really no original idea left under the sun. It's not really an act of doing something no one has ever seen before, rather, you try and do it better or in your own unique voice.

2) Try not to let the story sit for too long. I have the same problem. A story gets stale if ignored to too long. Sometimes, as much as I advertise against it, you just have to power though if for no other reason than to not lose the feel. Everything can always be fixed later in editing.

3)There are always people you'll see as better than yourself. This comes with anything: writing, painting, singing, drawing, whatever. There's always going to be someone better. It's not a contest and it's not about being THE BEST, it's about speaking with your voice to tell your stories.

Do not lose faith and do not get discouraged. You can do it, my friend.
