"I love you, Tali'Zorah vas Normandy."
Tali's heavy-lidded eyes went wide, turning her head to face Shepard. She stared for what seemed like an eternity, her mouth left slightly agape before she wrestled him onto his back, her lips practically devouring his in kisses that carried a sweet flavor on her tongue. Tali's legs straddled Shepard as she continued her furious assault on his mouth, her voice coming through in a passionate whisper.
"Say it again."
Shepard's hand glided along the bare skin of her back, all silken smooth and flawless flesh as he whispered those words he had been waiting so long to say.
"I love you."

“When you talked to me about what linking environments meant to quari… to you, I want you to know I didn’t take it lightly. You trusted me, and not just to watch your back under fire. You trusted me with your father’s secrets, with the air you breathed. It felt good, felt right. I want to keep that trust. I don’t know what’s ahead of us, but I want you to be right there beside me.
“I just want more time with you.”
Silence again. Please let her not have slept through that, Shepard thought. Saying it all over again was something he wasn’t looking forward to.
“Of course, I’ll be with you, Shepard vas Normandy,” Tali finally said, her voice moist and broken, “for as long as I can. You’re my captain, I’m your crew, the Normandy is our home.”

I can't hear you over the sound of all the love!
"Listen to me, Shepard. This place is not your home. It might have been long ago, but it doesn't have to be anymore. Your home, our home, is the Normandy. My home... is with you. I can't watch you suffer like this. I... You need to let this go, Shepard. You can go home. Our home."
She was right. This place was a phantom of it's past, populated with ghosts and strangers. This wasn't his home. This was a prison. A prison he had chained himself to. Every sleepless night he had endured since the attack and he had never realized it. It took Tali to show him what he had right in front of him. How much he had to look forward to. Why he really did what he did.
Shepard embraced Tali, tears flowing freely as he wrapped his arms around her body. She was his best friend and lover. She went beyond family. He trusted her with the one thing he had been burying for so many years and she not only accepted it, she helped him accept it. What happened happened. He was who he was today because of it, but that was all. It made him who he was, but it was not who he was. Without her, he would never have understood.
"Thank you, Tali. For everything. For staying with me. For trusting me. For... helping me."
He could see a glint of light trickle down from her silver eyes. She was crying.
"I'll always be here for you, Shepard... My Captain."

Rejecting Jack during the final romance scene is depressing. Her facial expression changes entirely and you can practically hear her heart break. Then, the angry tears, the words of despair, the about-face, the half-hearted insult and the walk-away.
Jack's paragon romance was very touching.

"I'll always be here for you, Shepard... My Captain."
I see your love and raise with my own.
"Shepard," she began, her voice measured, the faintest cracking audible as she spoke, "I've taken bullets." Her voice was pained. Shepard squeezed her shoulders reassuringly, urging her to continue. "I've been shot, stabbed, burned, bruised and tossed around like a salarian trying to play clawball." Shepard's eyes burned into hers, and hers glittered back into his, warm water that was not part of the shower sliding down her face. "I gave everything I had for the fleet. For my people. But no matter what I gave them, they never gave me anything in return. I got orders. And a panel of Admirals who thought I was a traitor. I would have given my life for them. I still would" Tali wrapped her arms around Shepard, her nose inches from his. "You gave something more Shepard. You gave me something to live for."
Shepard's eyes stared into hers, lost in their mesmerizing gaze. "What?"
Tali didn't blink. She spoke with confidence, with conviction.
"You."
Tali wrapped herself around Shepard in a strong embrace.
"You gave me something to live for Shepard. I've never had that before. Of all the scars on my body," She held her hand in front of his, "This is only one I ever got something back for. I didn't know it at the time, and I didn't expect to make it out alive myself, but we beat the odds, didn't we?" She smiled at him, and he at her.
"We always do." They wrapped themselves around one another tightly, snuggled in eachothers arms.
"Mine." It sounded funny coming from Tali's mouth. She had never owned anything before. Nothing was hers. Nothing but this one thing. A man who had come back from the dead, seemingly just to be with her. His love was hers. It was the only thing she had ever wanted.
Shepard gently stroked her back. "Yours," he whispered. She had been willing to give her life for him, he would gladly give her his.
Picking up a clean rag that still had soap on it, Shepard gently applied it to Tali's slender form, cleaning dead skin off her body, taking special care with her wounded arm, running his hands over her damaged skin and bones. She had endured pain and agony for the people who she had loved, but who had been quick to cast her out. These marks were everlasting reminders of a life spent giving until she bled. Gently, Shepard caressed each one as he washed them. Where once there was pain, there was pleasure. He repaid the Migrant Fleet's debts to her pain with his tender care, and his love. She finally gained something in return for each one.

"I already know what you're going to say, Tali," Shepard said. He stepped back from the mirror - Tali loved the profile of his butt. "I know the risk involved."
"I wasn't going to lecture you," Tali said. "But you have to agree...this could be a problem."
"That's why Grunt's going to be there. He solves problems."
"Firepower can't solve everything. What if this man's too insane to focus on our enemies, or would he rather point his guns at us?"
Shepard stepped back again and turned his angled, iron face towards her. Always weird to see it smile, but when it frowned like it did now, it felt like a better fit. "That's a lecture."
"I'm sorry, Shepard," Tali sighed, sandwiching the datapad between her folded hands. She hated that expression. If only he smiled more. "I'm just worried how well this will turn out."
Shepard's brow softened. "I know, Tali. And believe me, I understand where you're coming from." He stepped out of the bathroom, a white T-shirt sticking to his shoulders from the shower he just took, unfortunately without her. "But I've planned this out. I've taken a survey of Omega, thought up some escape routes if things go bad. Grunt will cover us while we grab a shuttle. And if Smile gets rowdy on the ship, Jack has permission to toss him around."
Tali closed the gap between her and Shepard. He must've used the soap Mordin picked up for him last time they visited the Citadel - his skin smelled like a weak pine. "Let's just be cautious, all right?" Her fingers drizzled down his arms. "We're not trying to kill ourselves yet. That comes later."
Shepard chuckled. Tali's face warmed as he brought his hands up to hers and squeezed gently. "Don't worry, I will. You know how far I'd go to keep my crew alive."
Joker had told Tali how Shepard stomped out through the shattered Normandy to save him. Threw Joker free of the airlock as the Collector's laser carved through the hull, destroying the Normandy and sending Shepard flying into dead space. She had to excuse herself then - she didn't want to cry in front of Joker, who probably would've ran his mouth about it.
But that was then. It was over now and Shepard was here. Tali reminded herself that more often that she would have liked.
She brought herself back to the present moment and stepped closer to Shepard, the rim of her visor just short of his nose. "You're too good to all of us, Shepard. That's what I love about you the most." She allowed Shepard to guide her hands down, close to their waists.
"Not as much as you," Shepard said. Their bodies pushed together.
*****
Grunt may or may not butt in here in the final draft.
