Gonna have to disagree. I am not a huge fan of the metric tons of sap oozing from Reunion. Now, This one by AGJ or this one by Mizutanitony are fantastic. As good as Buddha's, if going in a different direction.

I would be content with a few people saying that we look cute together or something.  Maybe one person saying something negative who we then get to straighten out

It doesn't have to be a recurring theme throughout the game.  If there is any in depth talk about the relationship, it should be with your squad mates (ie Kasumi's line expanded.)  I would be happy with maybe 2 or 3 comments total from random npcs.

Okay I definately agree with Five Plus Three but have you read the entirety of the second one? Goes in some really weird directions.

Weird yes, but stil as plausible as anything else in ME.  It gets dark, but it has lightened significantly (albeit also a NSFW chapter) in the last 2 chapters.  The payoff, as they say, is very good.
