While it is possible, due to her fanbase and ability to be a love interest in ME2, I highly doubt that she would turn into a cameo role even if you did not romance her.

ME2 was also about the characters of the game, it was used to establish the cast, and taking her out now would make little to no sense.

Fear not, she WILL be in ME3. Along with the other 11 (Full squadlist).

While possible, it's just not logical for a variety of reasons.
