Giving her the data belongs on the Paragon list.

Yes, but these are just a few examples to give people a general idea of what I mean with the descriptions.Thelacan wrote...
Think you should add there "Not giving the data to Tali. In game she really takes it as personal.
Besides, that's a renegade action.
Indeed they are. ("Captain's Orders", dear god, it's good Shepard's trying to flirt, but this is up there along with the priiiize. Besides, telling her you'll wait as long as it takes is a hell of a lot sweeter)Edit: Plus I think that in the drive core romance talk, the neutral/middle choices are the best.

Yeah, it's kinda cute and snarky, but it's also cheesy as hell.Tairis Deamhan wrote...
I don't have the hatred of the 'Captain's Orders' line that everyone else seems to have. It's perfect for that kind of smart ass but nice type, especially if Tali and Shepard already have a bantering kind of relationship.
Also, did anyone get the feeling Kasumi is basically ME1 Tali's enthusiasm and snarkiness rolled into a big ball and amplified a couple of times? (With a slight edge of emotional trauma; Keiji, but that doesn't seep through most of her conversations)

Why do I always get that overwhelming Nostaltig feeling when I start ME1 and see the main menu?
Is it the Vigil theme?

Well Shepard can't be slick all the time
And yea, Kasumi definitely has that feeling. She is one of my favorite characters once I d/led her. Was money well spent.

"I'll let you know. I promise."
That's what you get for going neutral.

*nods* That's probably the option I'm going to go with on the current play through. Original was a soldier, most of the same choices, but messed some things up.
Started my 'canon' play through when I started writing fic w/Inflitrator Paragade, just starting the romance path.
I might be forced to use the 'Captains Orders' line somewhere in the fic tho just so fun can be made.

Also telling that Tali is anything but selfless, which is true, for humans though. But asking that if she isn't anymore interested kind of tells me that Shepard was ready to get disappointed.
And yes, no winning over the "Take your time, I'll wait you as long as needed" (or something similiar) is much better than cheesy "Captain's orders".

Thank you!
Actually I have at least two ways to go with the story now, but Chapter 4 should still come up within two days. No worries about that.
Also everyone, go check out the chapter three from Reckoning if you haven't already!

Indeed, nothing beats Tali's renegade rejection though, she's basically crying at the end, and rightfully -immensely- pissed off at you.Savakka1 wrote...
I tested what happens if you don't give the data. It wasn't plesant. If you don't give the data, Tali refuses to talk to you anymore.
Also, I've done all of those bad responses to Tali in-game in both ME1 and ME2 (reloaded afterwards, of course) just to see what they were like, I may have a heart of stone, but that's damned heavy on yer' heart.
I recorded one of 'em. (Unfortunately, WMM was set to 4:3, while I recorded in 16:10 (1920x1200) so it's cropped pretty awkwardly...)
Per request of this thread, the responses of the other quarians aboard the Rayya, which weren't included in any of the other vids.
It's also convinced me that Daro is the only competent admiral, not even Shala is capable, she is willing to tear apart the fleet just so she can statisfy her needs to protect and nurture Tali. (Even if that isn't what Tali wants)

I've never been able to bring myself to do some of the renegade options. I am a grade A SOB sometimes, but with her it just feels like you're being cruel for the sake of it.
Also there is a reason Shala recused herself

TT, the part where the trial ends, you miss that one paragon line when you ask if Tali wants to speak with anyone before leaving. I hate it when suddenly some dialogue options disappear like that.

See my problem with that (Taligade at least, Darogade is fine) is that it assumes that it kind falls into the same realm as the conversation yesterday about Tali in FF.net being dependent on Shepard, etc.
Some of the things you do as a renegade I simply cannot see Tali supporting knowing what we do about her character. Maybe going along with because she's part of the team, but then falling for the guy thats doing them? Just doesn't make sense to me.
