Ok, back from class.
Last night, I started thinking of logical things the Quarians should do prior to the Reaper war. Since nearly all of their populous lives in the fleet, it would be logical to harbor the live ships somewhere safe from the Reapers.
I first thought of the Citadel and or Citadel space, it being the central power of all galactic governments. However, I realized that the Citadel is the prime target for the Reapers. If the citadel is destroyed, powers will be disoriented tremendously. Plus, since it's a prime target, the live ships harboring there would make them basically part of the 'bulls eye' (the eye being the Citadel of course).
So then I started pondering other areas, perhaps the Turian home world and or Turian space. They do have the largest military (that being if the Alliance doesn't pump insane numbers out before ME3). So they can provide a good amount of protection.
However, the fleet could harbor in our space. The Alliance is a strong military force, and you know Earth will be protected like a Marines virgin daughter. This would probably be their choice, if they had to choose. That is if your paragon Shepard, this comes into play because you've shown to the Quarians how good humans can be (Taking back the Alerei, helping Tali with pilgrimage, helping Veetor, saving Kal, etc.) . So with that example, they feel more comfortable trusting humanity, I would assume.
Now, IF the Alliance accepts their wish to harbor in our space during the war, would they just stay in orbit inside the security blanket of the vast numbers of Alliance ships protecting Earth, or would they also have a part of their population placed in certain areas on our planet? I thought of this for a while, while Earth is heavily populated, there are still areas that are vast and unpopulated.
With this being in mind, I imagined they could be placed in ares (camps/trailer housing like Freedoms progress) like the deserts of the United States, parts of mexico, maybe in the desolate parts of Siberia, etc. Basically keep them away from heavily populated ares that could be attacked.
Now I know some might be thinking "Why give them so much protection?". Because the galaxy knows that if they loose a certain amount of their people, they will not be able to repopulate, and will become extinct. If one species is lost to the reapers, they have already won.
lol, sorry guys to bombard you, had this on my mind all day.
