Garrus: Y'know, I had something written for this, but no. I want to be honest. I'm happy for you two. Really. I feel like I got to watch something this special really grow over time. Also, can I just say that I saw this coming?

Well, it showed he cared.
At least a little.

Or, in true Rael-fashion, he wrote it because it might hurt his image if something bad happened to Tali while she serves on the Normandy. How everyone would think that he couldn't even find a fitting ship for his daughter, or something like that.
