So I know this has been talked to death, but while we are on the subject of marriage.....

I once read a book (Ben Bova's Venus) where it was pretty common for women without partners to not use artificial insemination  and instead become pregnant with an embyo cloned from themselves (basically raising a clone of themselves as thier daughters).

Does this seem doable for a future Tali/Shep family or does artificial insemination from a quarian donor/ adopation seem more reasonable.

Maybe even some slight genetic alternation to the base cloned DNA could be possible (different skin tone , eye color, etc)

Has the forum already come to a conclusion about this.

Personllay,  I HATE the idea of a magical hybrid between Human and Quarian. Two completely different speices with two completely different protein alignments. It be like breeding a tree and a mammal .....maybe even worse than that.  I know this is sci fi but.....I cant even.

I doubt Rael would even show up. He'd probably just leave a message telling Tali to wrap up the ceremony quickly so she could get back to work.

Doable, yes. I would prefer them not to have children at all, though. My idea was thrown out long ago by the members-that-be.

If they can back it up with some real and serious science, I might think over it.

Even if adoption sounds easier and it would probably save them from getting a lot of hate from those who oppose such things as cross-species children.

1) How do you guys that write edit? Do you do it as you go, write the whole thing then edit? What?



2) On the subject of kids, yea, magical babies are pretty far fetched. Would need one hell of a science fu explaination. Though I will add that from the whole 'different DNA' thing: lions and tigers can breed fertile hybrids, so you never know for sure.
