Uh, because the romance is only for male Shepards? Tali clearly isn't interested in the same sex, otherwise the romance would be for both genders. Again, Tali isn't the one for the love triangle, either.

It's even worse if Shepard romances her and he dies. Shepard dying invariably in ME3 would be a slap in the face for the fans. For those who for someone reason want people to die, they could do it like ME2 where the success of the mission depends on how prepared you are going in.

She's the last person I want to think of being alone. *imagines Tali falling in love, being exiled from her home, then Shepard dying and her loneliness sets in*

Yea, that's where I'm getting at. Shepard is her best friend and the only one who has really been there for her, and then he dies? Very sad.

It's sort of like a sympathetic love, for Tali and the Quarians. You feel bad for them at first, then learn to love them, then you don't feel bad for them or superior to them anymore, you have sort of a comradery. I may be wrong, but that's what I get from the Shepard + Quarian and Tali relationship. Even if you can't romance her with Femshep, it is an incredible bond between alien and human and the ending will be legendary.

And Shepard's bond with the Quarians in general gives me a "we're either both succeeding or both failing" feeling.

What you confused about? I hate materialization, which is what she is doing, and in general I hate when girls talk about shoes... To make a character of a game do it makes me rage.

Not really. Tali does not really admit her love in ME2, even though she does love Shepard. We'll probably see some sort of declaration of love from Tali in ME3, I'm hoping. Tali was nervous and awkward about her feelings and the relationship, Leliana wasn't like that at all. Leliana was an assassin, the worst thing Tali has done was say that she doesn't like the Geth, and Tali is vastly more intelligent than Leliana I'd wager.

And I despise this "love triangle" idea. Who wants that kind of drama and pain inflicted on someone? Even if you don't turn down Tali, she's not gunna have a GOOD feeling that's for sure I was gunna romance Liara for that but now I've decided against it.

Fan Fiction =/= Ties in with the REAL story

It's fantasy, mate. It doesn't need to follow to ME story or romance plots.

There is no doubt in my mind Tali is more intellegent than Leliana. I viewed the way Tali stumbles with her words a lot like Leliana, so I viewed them to ahve the same sort of love interest. I dont quite know how to put it, but if that makes sense then so be it if not, il ltry to think of another way that does...
