It would be nice, but I think Tali would be bewildered by the formatily of a non-spacer wedding. A simple wedding overseen by a ships captain - or of his superior (*coughAndersoncough*) would be tasteful and most similar to whatever sort of clan bonding the quarians have.Collider wrote...
We had this discussion some time ago, but I'd like to discuss it further. How do you all think of a wedding between Shepard and Tali? Not the priority, but I think it could be nice if done correctly. Some think it's too sappy, though.

I wedding would be lovely, but I'd be fine without it. Their relaionship has really only just begun growing into real love and it needs time to blossom.

Not it s a mammoth ffic, but the premise au is so goddamn terrible it makes Cerberus look like a bunch of liberal hippies. It is so unrealist and self indulgent that it is barely recognizable as the ME setting. Really, all it has in common is some borrowed names.Alphyn wrote...

No worries boyo. I just get 'Nam like flashbacks from the fic I'll not mention. I was also trying to quote Tali for amesement value. I failed at teh lulz, clearly.

I imagine Tali thinking of marrying Shepard for the longest time (it seemed) but never in her right mind would she think to ask him.
Then Shepard asks her and even though she's thought of nothing but that her reaction is still "What? But I, you want to?"
Shepard boyish grin the whole time

I'd be fine without it, but like you said, I think it would lovely if done correctly. I'm sure the relationship will blossom in ME3, that's what is most important. We already know that Tali loves Shepard, one of the most important things is that they declare love for eachother or something of that sort in ME3.Lividity Jones wrote...

Really? The ME2 ending gives me the impression that ME3 will start shortly afterwards. Seriously, Shepard has his whole team there in the ending (you don't see Tali though...wtf bioware) and they all look like they're ready to go after the Reapers. I really doubt it will be 3-5 years.CamoBadger wrote...

Actually, im against the wedding idea. But, no i don't want it to develop off screen. The thing is that for the most part it will have to, unless the Reapers magically teleport to the edge of the galaxy in one week.

Yeah I feel the same way. I just feel that ME3 will start like, a couple months after ME2, at most.

I agree, the relationship developing off screen is likely a bad idea. That's why we enter the romances in the first place, to see the relationship develop. This is part of the reason why I want ME3 to start shortly after ME2.Lividity Jones wrote...
