To be fair, I did write it in one sitting, while simultaneously writing AOD and working on Reckoning.
Trust me, that was a very minor issue with me. It fit well with the story you were telling, and the scar she got during that, and the explanation of it she gave to Shepard fit well with everything else, that I don't honestly have a problem with it. I guess it's just a case of "A human sized body is so small that the chances of being found outside an escape pod is just so remote that it's hard to swallow."
Maybe she had a locator beacon in her suit that the Alliance tracked her with. That'd almost make it a total non-issue for me.
But I did have an idea while writing this post. The story-idea I talked about earlier? Would it make sense for it to be in a goodbye letter to Tali, "just in case?" You know, suicide mission and everything? I mean, he didn't get a chance to say goodbye with the SR-1 Normandy went kablooie, so you'd think he'd take the opportunity to write a letter before hitting the Omega 4 relay. Maybe that's what was on the data pad that Tali took from him when she came to see him.
Hmmm...possibilities.
