Well, in Halo's defense, this was after I'd went on a two-week long Demon's Souls binge, so any enviroments or weapon animations and SFX are going to seem sub-par

EDIT: Argh!

Well, it didn't open Tali's recruitment mission, so I did break at least one thing. It's probably too late to remove her, too. I guess I'll just do yet another playthrough for the sole purpose of listening to them :?

According to the strategy guide, the loyalty missions pop up in a certain order. So, before that, you just have the initial conversation or two with a squad member. Then you have to wait for their loyalty mission to queue up. Then they won't say any more until you do the mission. Then they'll talk once or more after that.

So, the game is probably waiting for you to "get" Legion when the rest of us do. It might fix itself after the Derelict Reaper mission. Just a guess.

Ahh, I've never played any of the Halo games. I've seen them played before and they looked kind of.. er... dull. The weapon animations and SFX were really, horrifically lame and the enviroments (both ext and int) were really spartan and boring...

Yeah. It gets boring pretty quick unless you're playing co-op.

Halo 2 has the worst cliffhanger ending of all times, too.

But there are games with worse story. Like Crysis. The plot was so predictable it wasn't even funny.

If that's the case, then I'll just have to wait and see. I doubt I'll be able to get any of Tali's extra dialogue since I've started the romance dialogue with her.

That's kind of what I figured. It seems more like a multiplayer game with a single-player campaign tacked on.

At least Crysis redeems itself by looking pretty. I like exploring complex enviroments. Though, I also like a good story, so if I were to play Crysis, it would be a one-trick pony before I got bored of it.

That's our goal.

She'll be more like Admiral Xen by the end of it. For now, we're just building her up so we can tear her down.

She doesn't talk much before the loyalty mission. There is the post-recruitment talk. I don't remember if there is anything after that. I think she just keeps working on the engines until her loyalty mission queues up. Then she'll ask to go to the fleet. After that, it's all the post-loyalty conversations which you have seemed to have seen since you have already started the romance dialougue. My point is, you might not have missed any Tali conversations.

And people said that there's so much fun to do when the story is finished. Like playing around in the sandbox.

Ooh. Haven't done that before.

Except for *coughGarry'sModcough*

No, I want a story that I want to return to over and over again. Like Mass Effect 2. That game was my drug for a while. In February, I did nothing else but playing Mass Effect 2. And when everyone asked why I didn't want to hang out, I blamed the snowstorm. Perfect cover.Image IPB

I can only enjoy sandboxing for so long...

I tend to get obsessive over one game and will play it exclusively for quite a while. I'm on my ME2 kick right now (which is obvious).

Of course I'm talking about Xen! One of the more enjoyable parts of writing, for me at least, is building up a really great character and then tossing them into the fire.
