Haha, nah dude. I did it too. I heard "vents" and "infiltration," which was what Thane was doing his entire recruitment mission. I sure as hell wasn't going to put Tali in the vents when Jacob called the vent mission a "suicide mission."

I sent Thane through the vents and he died. I expected him to be better considering. But really, you're right. It's weird that Thane isn't really good at anything at all in the suicide mission. He can escort the crew back to the ship, but any loyal squad mate can.

I did the same thing, matter of fact I sent Thane for the vent mission every time and figured, wtf if an expert assassin dies from an infultration mission anybody I send at it will so why bother changing it up? I never use the guy anyways.

In fairness, the clue is that Thane is a biotic character, not tech.

True, but he even gets someone killed if he's the "biotic specialist." He's really not good at anything.

You're not assassinating anyone, so Thane is just a good squaddie. I take Tali and Thane on the suicide mission and it's quite golden. Tali and Garrus is also good.

The thing is I found Legion to be incredibly higher damage than Than, especially with his Geth sniper prototype weapon that will 1 shot just about anything that isnt a boss, and I always had a love for Tali so she would be in hte group just because. With Thane having died every time I figured people would die no matter what so why risk my two most favorite characters on something ive never bothered looking up.

About that. We should have selected a vanguard for the hold the line group. Zaeed and Grunt would work especially. And I used Mordin because he's not really good at anything either, and dies easily in the hold the line part.
