*Tali is not pleased to hear the voice of the geth. She responds, not bothering to turn her head from her work.*

Tali: What is it, Legion? I'm very busy.

Legion: We are aware of Creator Tali'Zorah's duties. We only wish to put forth a query.

*Tali stops working at her terminal to turn and face the geth, crossing her arms and leaning on her back foot, waiting for Legion's question. The panels that make up the geth's face twitch slightly.*

Legion: We are curious as to why Creator Tali'Zorah's optimal efficiency decreases when Shepard-Commander is near.

*Tali raises a brow under her mask.*

Tali: My optimal efficiency?

*Legion's head bends slightly to the side, more of the plates twitching as it speaks.*

Legion: You become passive, eratic, distracted. You stare. Why?

*Tali is taken aback at this. Did Legion just say she stares? She doesn't stare... Does she?*

Tali: Why are you asking?

Legion: We wish to understand your behavior.

*Tali sighs under her mask. She wonders if it's even worth it to try and explain this to a geth.*

Tali: I care for Shepard. Do you understand that?

Legion: We do not feel emotional connections, but we do understand them. Your behavior is... unique. We have not experienced it before.

Tali: I care for him and he cares for me. We share things with each other we don't share with others. We...

*Tali pauses trying to find the proper words. Legion's plates suddenly snap down. The lens of his bright optic seems to blink.*

Legion: You are intimate?

*Tali blushes under her mask.*

Tali: Well... Yes.

*Legion's head tilts to the side, his plates move erratically for several more seconds.*

Tali: Do you have a problem with my relationship with Shepard?

Legion: ...

Tali: Legion?

Legion: We are currently achieving consensus. Please try again later.

It's a factor he can't calculate. He can try, but he can't be sure how Shepard might act considering his relationship with Tali.

Legion respects Shepard a great deal, though. I think, in the end, he would trust Shepard to not let his relationship with Tali endanger any kind of peace talks in the works or side with the quarians unnecessarily.
