Shepard ejected the heat sink in his rifle before slamming another one home.

"They must have the place on lockdown. They'll be watching the li-"

Tali suddenly drew her pistol and fired behind Shepard in one swift motion, her round finding a home in the skull of a wounded batarian that had his weapon aimed for Shepard's back. Shepard looked at the dead mercenary and back at Tali, the engineer striking a haughty pose. Her voice carried that playful tone he always loved to hear.

"You missed one."

One of the things I wonder among the community is, what don't you like about Tali?

I found that she reacted with a bit of hostility to Shepard while talking about taking the homeworld back or not, and I'm not sure I agree with her reluctance to reveal the evidence (or at least, the reasoning thereof).

If there isn't something you particuarly dislike about Tali, don't even bother replying to this post.

It is hard writing a whole fanfic before releasing one chapter. You seriously have to motivate yourself. It is a good test to see how determined you actually are

the thing is, I am just typing it all without looking back. Once I finish, I am going to go back modify and do some serious editing. That is why I didn't like releasing Snake in the Mud one chapter at a time because I couldn't go back and change things around. My story is going to be more complex in this one, so I have to complete it all at once.

I write up the rough draft from start to finish, I hand it over to Rip who adds and subtracts and generally moves things around a bit, who then hands it off to me for final edits before I post it on FF.Net.

Rip then posts his art for the chapter along with a link to the new one in his blog, which our sigs link to.
