It already is. There are a few extreme examples like killing Samara which skirt "evil," but for the most part Paragon/Renegade is not Good/Evil.

it really should be though. Imo they should have levels of paragon and renegade choices ranging from saint like to nearly pure evil.

Would they? The Quarians don't exactly have bountiful coffers of resources.

Consider the ships they could dismantle if people are living groundside. The eezo for those ships could be repurposed.

Yes but was drew their attention to even read that scroll, if their programmed to do manual labor their programming would have them ignore what is outside of their parameters. This is where I think where a small push could have started them on the path to enlightment.

But if their programming also indicated they should collect all available data if it seems relevant, it would take only one single geth runtime to decide to collect that data and suddenly the entire network knows.

Most of the time that's what happens. From my Renegade play-throughs, I've seen very few instances that actually count as "evil." Atleast, in ME2 that is...

Being a dick for no reason than JUST to be a dick kind of counts too.

It depends on how you view things, personally, I hardly see throwing a merc (who you would have killed with bullets had he heard the elevator ding,) out a window as evil, but others see it as some horrible move.  There are a few stupidly evil moves in the game, but for the most part, renegade has been flanderized into something its not.

That wasn't Mass Effect's direction and I don't believe it should be. I like Paragon and Renegade (sans the persuasion system which is several degrees of bad). It's Hero or Anti-Hero which I like a lot better than the archetypal shallow "Paladin or Devil" systems in other RPGs.

I'll put it this way, if no one currently in a leadership position is still in one at the end of ME3, I'll be ecstatic.  If I had a yes/no vote on every leader in the galaxy, the only ones not getting the axe are Anderson, and probably Shala.  The ME universe sucks at picking leaders

There are a great deal of logistics issues involved there. Rather than taking such a gamble (and on a planet that isn't exactly the most comfortable), they should seek another more suitable planet. I realize though, that the point of the story that Bioware wrote about the planet was to the show the continual plight of the Quarians and the Council's insensitive nature towards them.
