Really do not want.

Xen isn't a dictator, not yet anyway. She still has to answer to an elected Conclave and the rest of the Admirilty Board.

Her intentions are ignoble. Slavery is wrong. And incredibly vile. And world domination isn't exactly the most sympathetic of goals. Unless it's by Brain.

Why can't renegade be "Do the right thing, just in a badass way" Instead of being evil? I would rather be a Clint Eastwood of the Galaxy than satan incarnate.

It already is. There are a few extreme examples like killing Samara which skirt "evil," but for the most part Paragon/Renegade is not Good/Evil.

it really should be though. Imo they should have levels of paragon and renegade choices ranging from saint like to nearly pure evil.

That wasn't Mass Effect's direction and I don't believe it should be. I like Paragon and Renegade (sans the persuasion system which is several degrees of bad). It's Hero or Anti-Hero which I like a lot better than the archetypal shallow "Paladin or Devil" systems in other RPGs.

I suppose but even anti heros can pull some messed up crap.

Upper left blue her out of her mad scheme and into your bed with tali? :P

Am I the only one that wants upper left blue and lower left red to occasionally be the WRONG option to take? I am not a fan of auto win dialogue. It would be cool if it provided a continuation of the dialogue that would eventually (with the right selections) culminate in a "victory", but I hate the auto win aspect of it.

*loves the failable dialogue, even with good ranks, in the KOTOR series*

At least she gets **** done.

Seriously though. Paragon. She will see the errors of her ways.

And then I'll shoot Korris for ever having considered Exiling Tali. Coward. Pig.

Ah yes, he's the definition of a suit wetter.

“You’re a coward, Zaal!” Han growled as he slammed his fist into the abused table, “A suit p-ssing, child who’s afraid to stand up for something! Even in the face of the utter annihilation of our people, hell, of all organic civilization, you plea for us not to fight to help prevent it!” he pointed at Zaal with much hostility, “You should be exiled for treason!”

Never **** with the Han.

I'd be just fine with some kind of equal power system for all galactic races.  This top 3 races hoarding all power bs is crap :bandit:

I highly doubt that. She already believes that the Geth are nothing more than machines and that it's okay and cool to experiment on sapients. She has a big hole to dig herself out of. I can't say I'm sympathetic to her at all. She's not a tragic figure, she's just someone (as she is presented in ME2) with grandiose visions of power - the typical villain.

And then I'll shoot Korris for ever having considered Exiling Tali. Coward. Pig.

Do we even know that Korris was the one who called Tali's loyalty into question? Was it really just Korris who brought Tali to trial? So far as I'm aware, in-game it just remains an indescript "the admiralty board has put Tali on trial" rather than a specific person doing it.

Would they? The Quarians don't exactly have bountiful coffers of resources.

Consider the ships they could dismantle if people are living groundside. The eezo for those ships could be repurposed.

There are a great deal of logistics issues involved there. Rather than taking such a gamble (and on a planet that isn't exactly the most comfortable), they should seek another more suitable planet. I realize though, that the point of the story that Bioware wrote about the planet was to the show the continual plight of the Quarians and the Council's insensitive nature towards them.

Well, all the stuff we know about the Ekuna incident is from the planet description, and I wouldn't expect it to go into logistics.  In any case, the description says there were a few hundred thousand quarians planetside before the Council came by, so I assume they got around the gravity problem somehow.

I would like to see the dialog options always available but you would know if you can make them work with your current level of diplomancy. That however would confuse the casual shooter crowd since that is more complecated that soem of the stuff the cut....:pinched:

Yes but was drew their attention to even read that scroll, if their programmed to do manual labor their programming would have them ignore what is outside of their parameters. This is where I think where a small push could have started them on the path to enlightment.

But if their programming also indicated they should collect all available data if it seems relevant, it would take only one single geth runtime to decide to collect that data and suddenly the entire network knows.

A scripted AI can do that with out become sentent. Have you ever wondered how Google or Yahoo gets a massive library of links that are considered revelent to a phrase? They use a small program called a webcrawler a program that finds all revalent data tied to a word. Then another program sorts it and files it away to speed up search results. It is the taking of this data and reading into it actually and forming a line of thinking to understant it. So there is a difference between collecting data then it is to seek to understand it, this is what the geth went to; They actually sought out the understanding.

Zaal wanted to exile Tali posthumously, even after they would have blown up the ship and destroyed any evidence.

Korris is a ****, a filthy excuse for a quarian, and permenantly on my **** list.

I really do like some of the renegade options. I didn't use it during the fight with Legion and Tali (not even sure if I could have), but I did it with Miranda and Jack (suited my Shepard better).
