Couple theories on that.

One is that they might be alot like the Reapers but in much smaller platforms, a kinship in one forum.

Theory two: Soverign aready tried and failed to open the Citidel, thus needing allies to open it, but his allies couldn't point back to him if they failed. If they where to attack and take the citadel everything would be blamed on the Geth groind rogue, and the Quarians who orginally made them. With this style he could send the geth fleet in and take out defence fleet then move in once the defenders have been softened up enough that there is hardly a threat to him. Even in war the Pawns going in first followed by the king.

Thrid Theory: Soverign might have been uploading the programs in small patches, however the programs worked a little to well when the Quarians heared the questions they responded. They might have shut down part of the network which likely cut communications which means no more uploads.

Don't forget that Nazara probably tried this ALREADY with the rachni.

Would YOU want to scream Miranda's name during sex?

I sure as hell wouldn't.

Like if Tali is going to stop just because you said Miranda. The thought of the **** will just make her angry. And what do ya know, she's in the perfect position to release that anger...

Not with the shotgun, of course. Wouldn't want something to go off prematurely.Image IPB

Well they are far superior to the geth. I'm sure they could delete them pretty easily. They are just a tool to weaken and break up organics so they couldn't bring up a unified front. If everyone is fighting each other and are weak it's that much easier to reap the smaller factions. If some one is obviously dominate in the battles it a prime target for REaper reproduction.

But that takes me back to my previous point. The Reapers believe they are superior. They wouldn't need to do any of these things, at least in the way they see things. They've been doing this *forever*.

But why would he even bother? The geth gained sentience 300 years ago.. Sovereign only just failed to take the Citadel two years ago. If he couldn't indoctrinate them in 300 years after uplifting them, then.. hell, I don't even know.

perhaps indoctrination is not as big of a deal as the reapers would have us believeImage IPB

Why do I get the feeling that most of the Normandy crew spends a great deal of teh time very confused about wtf Shepard is doing now.

Best to stop asking questions and just accept the insanity by this point.  ^_^

If you're having sex with Tali... and she has you tied up... for example... and you scream Miranda...

Two things will happen. She'll either stop, you'll both go to bed unsatisfied, and it will be both awkward and sad.

OR, she'll get mad... and you're already in a compromising position... that can go one of several ways in and of itself...

The restraints aren't for Tali and Shepard!  Of course you guys go there...

Quarian law mimics are own in that 'cruel and unusual punishment' isn't allowed.  Now, I established earlier that quarians constantly have sore wrists because of the needles in their suits.  As such, normal handcuffs (for law-enforcement personnel) are considered "cruel".  Quarian handcuffs still bind the arms, but they are tight around the upper arm.

No, the Reapers know they need to break things up.  That's why they always start the cull with their Citadel gambit:  they don't want to face a united galaxy.

Then that's yet another reason why they wouldn't have helped the geth, if they didn't have a way to control them or any kind of fail-safe. Sure, they got some of them--the Heretics--but that was a very small faction and might not even have been because of the Reaper's influence at all.

Okay, did I miss a dialogue somewhere? Did Hawthorne try to get frisky with Tali in a non-consentual way or something? Why do we hate this man so?

Lately nearly every time I log on for the night shift, someone is talking about sex. And half the time it involves BDSM material, too.

From Xen dominance to discussing safety words.

Why make it harder on themselves? Also I think they like to "play the game" with all the trickery and manipulations to see and show off there superiority.^_^ They come off as the "haha I made you kill your friend." type of guys.
