Don't want to bring the wrath of BNS down on me, since you can get the big PB for that kind of thing, I hear.  Gonna have to tread really carefully when it comes to Mr. Taylor.

Also, **** just got significantly more real than previous events had suggested.

I know.  Is that a great image or what?

You know. At first glance this wasn't so bad.
But the more I look at it, the more upsetting it becomes. . .

Brilliant.

Since the filename was "veiled woman, 1910" it might even almost be from the correct era.

The first step to getting better is admitting you have a problem.  I never bothered to figure out the second step, though.

Intoxication is a popular substitute, so I've heard.

Well, i wikied it last year when I did a history essay on battleship warfare.  Does that count?

Nope!  You win!

The Iowa class BBs must have been boring for such an essay, seeing as they were nothing but mobile gun platforms for shore bombardment and (later) missile launchers.

Actually the Iowa was used mainly for its AA role for fleet support, their main guns where used very little, but when they where they devistating. Infact the Jersey broke from her carrier group to provide assistants to another fleet which engaged the ****** fleet sent to take them out. When "Big J" Showed up the battle switched in favor of the US as the Jersey's guns helped in sinking the ****** fleet. The Iowa wasn't really a full fledge BB like the Bismark, or Yamamoto, they where Fast Battleships the quickest battleships ever built. This is why I had started building a design of these ships for a reintroduction into the Mass Effect Universe.

You know that Is not a bad idea, I was reading the  Codex entries and the Alliances likes  Carriers  faster battle ships more so then the large Dreadnaught class ships which the Alliance fleet only has 8 of each named after a Mountain on Earth,   Fuji, Kilamonjaruo, Everest,.   The frigates are named after  major battles  example the Normandy and in my Story its Sister ship the Mdiway.  I think the carriers would be named after world Leaders  Presidents and Prime Ministers, the Cruisers   my guess would  Cities and the Battleships would be Countries and/or  States

Dreadnaughts are Battleships. WWI Dreadnaughts became Batteships in WW2 take a look a some of the old ship classifications size and tonage increase as well as gunsize between the gunships of the line.

Okay then if that case The Alliance has  not one but two classes of the  dreadnought  the  Everest class: Everest, Fuji,Elbrus and the Kilimanjaro class: Kilimanjaro, Tai Shan, Shasta, Aconagua, and Orizaba if you did not  know already... How  would you fit  that Iowa\\\\\\\\ class into  the mix, The reason I ask is because it sounds like great idea

Read back on page 8748. I forgot I have an update to this somewhere on the site but it is burried in massive amounts of post.

That is a pretty damn  good concept  I do say so myself it does fit more in with Alliance Military  tactics favoring speed and  attacks behind enemy  lines  rather than up front slug fest.  the Destinies Ascension biggest failing was that i was just too damn big  and slow.

See that button that says "Link"?  I know you can find it, since you know where the "Quote" button is.  Clicking it gives you the individual post URL.

I know. And like Liv said just before your post; you can kinda see her eyes and there's something. . .off about them. Or maybe that's just my brain slowly descending into insanity, unable to cope with the horrors presented before it.
