I don't know talk about themes and story ideas that  run through heed... Hell I spark it off.

Honestly i like the exile option for Tali's Story better its the one i picked for my Main play through of ME.  Reason being that the speech the  Shepherd gives in her favor really holds no weight to it , her being exile to try to protect the fleet from  itself has a more heroic overtone to it and I would love to see   how the plays out in ME 3.

Exile? unthinkerbel *passes out*.

*pulls out smelling salts*  Come on now its not that  bad, that storyline at least in my head sets up her up for huge come back  to fleet with Shep saving the Fleets ass from getting itself blown to all hell.... and a potential for an Epic show down the Admiral Xen.

And thank you Rune, for using the version that doesn't make me want to fly into a Hawthorne like rage.

FYI, or those of you that read fan fiction, Tairis's newest chapter of Razor's Edge is up - I can not stress enough how ****ing amazing it is.

Wow, for serious thanks. I didn't even realize it was you that left me that review on FF.net until I looked at your published stories list!

Lol those Quarian fingers under those long sleeves is cute.

I actually wanted to only show three, but it would have ruined the surprise.

I can just see it now, Tali writing with a pen or pencil for the first time.

That image is so full of d'awww. I can imagine it going something like this:

Tali is relaxing on the couch in Shepard's cabin, waiting for him to get off duty when, out of boredom, she wanders over to the desk next to his bed to inspect his old N7 helmet and sees the old writing instrument Shepard is always using. She picks it up and inspects the odd looking object in her tridigited hand; attempting to hold it between her long quarian fingers. Transfixed by the object, she sits down at the desk and removes a scrap piece of paper from the drawer and attempts to write her name.
Tali'Zor...
Tali'Zorah...
Tali...
"You little Bosh'tet!" She shouts in frustration.
She tries again, her tounge sticking out of her mouth as she does so.
So focused is she on this seemingly simple task, one that Shepard and the other human crew members seem to be able to accomplish so easily, that she doesn't hear the pneumatic hiss of the door opening and Shepard stepping inside.
He is suprised to see Tali sitting at the desk beside the bed, hunched over, concentrating intently; and quietly moves towards her to investigate.
Upon seeing what she is trying to do, he smiles and sits down beside her.
"Oh, Shepard! I didn't hear you come in, I was trying to..." She mutters, embarrassed.
Shepard smiles at the childlike scrawl on the paper and tries to imagine a young Tali trying to write
Tali'Zorah nar Rayya.
"Here." Shepard says. He takes the pencil out of her hand, places his hand over hers then puts the pencil between his thumb and forefinger and her first and second digit and guiding her writes: Tali'Zorah vas Normandy - the cutest quarian in the galaxy.

I agree that it is interesting and basically acceptable for Tali to be exiled because it is rather heroic to do it that way, giving the stupid admirals what they want so they wouldn't tear the fleet apart. It's also good to see Tali's clear relief after this. Even though she can't see the fleet again, at least they depart in peace.

However, I think that showing the admirals what douchebags they are is just way too cool an opportunity to pass up. Everyone hates politicians, and besides, Tali is just way too sweet for the player to let anything negative happen to her. :)

But no matter which outcome, she's still grateful.

Here is something that i  picked up on  in my latest play through... Qwib Qwib  and Xen are really the ones at odds with each other, Han is more of Xen Pawn caught in the middle.  Something else Qwib Qwib is note that  much ****  as I originally thought... He knew that what ever Re'al was working on the Alerai was bad,  very bad and  would push the fleet to war(Somthing he does not want  and knows would get them  all Kiled).

Further more my guess would be its Qwib Qwib who has the backing the big military brass given Reagers statement about how the Marines could strike ops for long drown out campaigns they would get slaughtered. Xen my guess would have more the civilian backing and some back from the Marines is she can swing Han fully to her side. In others we have political Stalemate brewing.

Thematically, and for Tali as a (fictional) person, I don't like the exile option.  She has sacrificed enough for her people, she shouldn't have to sacrifice her connection to them as well.  Additionally, it puts her in more of a "trapped" position with Shepard:  she has nowhere else to go.  Her romance is more powerful when she can make a choice about being with him because she has the Flotilla to go back to.

Good, still 234 pages to go before this is due...
Had to re-design the entire thing last night because I hated how it was turning out.  Will be fully modelled and textured by tomorrow morning.

Also, who wrote the Garrus/Lia'Vael "potential romance?"  I may or may not be making an allusion to it. :bandit:

By all means, have at it.

Still, all her sensitive skin and his... pointiness... I don't envy her.
