Allow me to remind you of something from Mass Effect.
Liara: I'm suprised at your doctor's knowledge of asari physiology.
Shepard: Doctor Chakwas is the best. She knows what she's doing.
Oh yes. This could work out pretty well for Garrus. You know those relationship aides FemSheps get? I'll bet Chakwas wrote them.

Whilst doing so I ran across this little gem, dated 12 August 2007. I just thought you guys might get a kick out of us primitive proto-talimancers speculating wildly and making complete fools out of ourselves in threads that got locked after 10 pages (ha!). I can't believe some of the things I posted back then. Ironically those old threads pretty much mimicked the character threads that exist today with their far share of haters, trolls and off-topic-ness. But there was a spirit of friendship too. Hope you find it insightful and got a few laughs out of it.

A cold day on Noveria, chapter four
*****
“You look so silly” she giggled at him.
“I do that a lot, or so I hear” he smirked. He kept the tube between his lips and every now and then sucked it a little bit, making the tube wobble and causing Tali to giggle a bit more. He liked the sound of her giggling so he started to exaggerate his sucking, suddenly making a loud slurp which caused her to laugh.
“Shepard, stop it” she gasped for air. “Please, I can't breath” she laughed and coughed. Shepard had finished with the paste anyway so he just spat it out from his mouth, making Tali chuckle.
“What was so funny” Shepard asked, smiling at her, trying to ignore the sticky paste in his mouth, his tongue getting stuck in it.
“You” she said quietly and Shepard tilted his head, grinning. “I mean, not in that way!”
“Uh-huh”
“No, I.. I meant that, it's just, that you eat nutrient paste, from a tube, like quarians do” she started to babble. Shepard let a small laughter out. “Relax Tali, I was just teasing”
“I, um.. I knew that”
“But?”
“I just got nervous”
“About what?”
*****
Please read & review if you have nothing else to do! Thanks!

Or, you know, Ashley / Garrus. Or Garrus / Dr. Michel. Or my personal favorite scenario...
Garrus: I don't know about this Shepard...
Shepard: Relax, it'll be fine.
*Shepard drags Garrus into Dark Star, then fiddles with his omni-tool.*
Garrus: What exactly are we doing he-
*Shepard raises a finger as he makes his final adjustments. He taps a key and three spotlights focus on him and Garrus standing by the door. With another command, Shepard connects his omni-tool com to the speaker system.*
Shepard (Upper Left Blue): Ladies. *presents Garrus with a flourish* This man is available.
Garrus: Oh spirits...
*In classic form, every female in the bar is looking directly at Garrus. About three dismiss him immediately, but the other fourty or so keep looking, with various levels of... anticipation.*
Shepard: *covers the mic* Come on, Garrus, it's up to you to sell this.
Garrus: *under breath* Fine. *clears throat, in deep flanging voice* Evening ladies, I'm here to get this party started.
*Some ladies don't bother hiding their reaction to his voice. A small clique of human women drag him off while the jealously left in the room remains palpable. Shepard gives his friend a mock salute as Tali enters the club behind him.*
Tali: You know, when I wrote that algorithm, that's not exactly what I had in mind.
Shepard: Yeah, but I wasn't going to get any use out of it. *takes her hand* I'm already taken.
*The one asari in the room that had been watching Shepard instead of Garrus sulks off, dejected. Tali runs a finger down one of Shepard's old-scars.*
Tali: You old softie.
Shepard: Guilty as charged.
*The two take each others hands as they touch his forehead to her faceplate.*

Yall do know that Turians tend to be violent when they mate and Jack is a biotic with very little fine tune to control... I am not against it i am just saying that I don't want to see Shep wingman end as a spot on a the wall but then...
Shepherd: Hey Garrus have you seen Tali
Garrus: No i was just finishing these calibrations and i was going to look for Jack
EDI : Tali'Zorah and Jack are currently located in the Port Side observation Commander. they don't wish to be disturbed
Garrus: You don't think..?
Shepherd: Are you willing to take that chance ?
Garrus: Your right... Run.
*minutes later*
Jack: what the **** where did that **** ass Turian go...
Tali: Shepherd knows better he can't hide from on this ship. *grabs hand cuffs and whip*

And Priestly still hates us...
I don't think Priestly hates Talimancers or character fan threads in general. What he has always hated is people getting wildly off topic and making pointless posts. Back then Priestly and Woo were very active on the boards and would pounce on off topic or repeat threads like Ninjas. These days they seem to be content to let the Horse go on the moors and turn semi-wild. As long as the Horse doesn't end up in the next county its cool.

“Are we certain that this is the right thing to do?” Han’Gerrel asked of the other admirals as they looked upon their copy of the datapad. “If we agree to support this, if we agree to commit to this war, our entire race might bear the consequences.”
“That’s odd.” Zaal’Koris chided him from across the table. “I’d have thought you’d jump at the chance to go to war.”
“With the Geth certainly.” Han frowned at his political rival. “But this is far more dangerous. Say we fail? Say this plot is foiled.”
“It is not a decision to be made lightly.” Daro’Xen agreed scanning her eyes over the document.
“But the principle behind this choice must be upheld.” They turned seeing the normally silent Shala’Raan adding her signature to the document. “I submit a vote in favor of war.”
Han blinked before chuckling from behind his mask. “Well, what are they going to do? Ostracize us again?” He clicked his message of assent into the datapad. “Let’s do it.”
Koris nodded as he added his own name to the document. “There comes a time when someone has to say enough. I say that time is now.”
Xen nodded as she added the final curve to her name. “Far be it for me to defend what does not work.”
“Then it is decided.” Shala’Raan sent the fully signed document back to the Normandy. “We will go to war.”
