That's why I feel close to Mordin and Kelly and even Jacob. They're the only ones that seem to actively talk to the other character's behind the scenes (and Jacob "building them bridges" in the debriefing room). Imagine Shepard ordering everyone down to the cargo hold to watch his back as he releases Grunt? Woulda been epic.
