It does suck seeing as how the Asari live for a thousand years and they seem to have some issues with coming to grips that others don't live that long. Perfect example when that Asari was talking to a Turian and they were going on about fish and the Asari mentions that "It's not how long you're with the fish, but how you enjoy the time with the fish" and the Turian says "Is this the life span talk? I don't want to have the life span talk again.". See they look down on the short lived species as if we were pets. So do you really think they'd have a problem with punishing a species for an excessive amount of time?

Ten Generations of quarians is half of a generation of Asari...

Long-view ****es... <_<

The Council better do some amazing **** in 3... or I'm going back to kill them, and I'll give Xen the geth.

Humanity and the Quarians can rule side by side.

RE: how the Council treats the quarians: The Council exists, as I see it, to preserve the status quo. The status quo currently is that the quarians are outcasts and generally considered a nuisance at best. They're not about to go stick out their necks to change that.

When they refuse to believe me no matter what I tell them, I can't really feel sorry for the Council when they get what's coming to them.

And I'd take an quarian empire over the collective stupidity of three races any day.

On a side note. What would be a badass name for such a Union between the Humans and Quarians?

Yeah I hardly see the council's treatment of the quarians as a just punishment that they deserve in their eyes.  They just have no reason to help the quarians, so they won't.

I know the Council are asses but they're not evil. They're narrow-minded, they don't deserve to get killed for it. Not unless the stakes get escelated.

How do you divide space?

It's huge and it goes in every direction.

Every race does rule themselves, that's why you have batarians that aren't terrorists not being allowed to leave their planet and other things like that.  The council is for galactic matters.

Eh, as far as I'm concerned, the status quo isn't a bad thing to protect, usually.  It's doing a lot of good for most of the galaxy.

But I do think that if the things that need changing are going to change (such as the quarian situation), that change is going to have to come from outside.  For instance, the humans wanted more respect and power, so they had to go save the galaxy.  They got what they wanted.

It's interesting to note that if you have a human Council, they're just as interested in preserving the status quo.

By star system or in extreme cases entire clusters/sectors.

Most Asari you meet in the game are arrogant and/or manipulative.

I should note that the batarians aren't a council race.  Thus they don't have to worry about what the council thinks of how they govern themselves.

Usually when you depose a government the leaders end up dead.

You know what's the most annoying part? They believed that the Reapers exists at the end of ME1 if they were not killed during the battle.

That's why I hate them.

I recall this plothole.  I SAVED those guys, they saw what happened, and now it doesn't work?  What a rip.

Whereas humanity has basically handed over their sovereignty  to an unelected alien governing body. Kind of like the EU actually.

The human council doesn't fingerquote me.

At any rate, the idea of Velarn and Tevos burning on the Ascension brings me SO much joy.
