It's also good if one has a personal style when it comes to writing.

Me? One of the things I lack is a good vocabulary, and the ability to know where to put what.

I'd rather be a style chameleon myself.  Variety is the spice of life.

Get friendly with a thesaurus.  That's what I do when I can't think of a good word I haven't already used to exhaustion.

One of the tricks i do  is  I write the beginning and then I write the ending of my story... then i work my way from point A to point b. I have  found that helps  keeps things in order so you don't have characters going in complete oddball directions..  Another is music, music, music, and music,  I song for almost every scene in my story and I listen to everything from  R&B/Soul to  J-pop/rock.

I generally try to have a story outline so I know where I'm going next, then fill in the details from there.

I definitely agree on the music. I prefer mostly intrumental to get going but I have quite a few different 'writing' playlists. I've been a big fan of a number of old metallica songs covered by a very talented pianist as good mood setters.

I have everything, though, from old school Run DMC to bagpipes depending on my mood.

most of instrumental  music comes from  Video Sountrack's and movie/tv show scores ... I love the Battlestar Galatica  remake sound track its some really good dark music  for setting that sense of  doom with tracks line  Something dark is coming and Crossroads but  something gritty and tough like Dirty Hands.

Right now I am going to through and looking for a theme for Tali/Shep i was want  something   rather uplifting and freeing... i find myself hovering around something from Euereka  Seven Soundtrack

I like this.

I like that... not what i was aiming for this time around but I like that southwest feel it has  to it.  It will be used ...

Mass Effect Precipice takes place after  ME 2 so i was aiming for a Firefly/Gekko-state  feel to the crew something along lines off...

Shepherd: You know this  if this is a trap you know what do right?"

Miranda: Of course commander save the Normandy...

Garrus: Insure the  victory against the Reapers

Joker: Comfort a grieving  Tali

Shepherd : NO! You come save. me ya hear...

Miranda: Of course  Commander

Garrus:  with out a second thought

Shepherd:... I'm serious

As I mentioned a page or two back: read, read lots. Really is no better way to increase your vocabulary that I've found.

Pretty much the only reason I'm not reading so much, is because of my poor eyesight. I can get a really unpleasant headache if I read a book for about fifteen minutes.

Yeah. I'm currently in CIS, with no intention of switching to English.

That will likely serve you well.

Audiobooks? I listened to a good chunk of the Dresden novels on my last drive to Indiana.

You know..

If Joker just got up and walked a few inches to the pod, Shepard would have survived.

I guess it's God's way of getting back at Joker making him trek the entire Ship near the end of the game. Karma's a ****.

Easily one of the best series I've seen in a long time.

You should have a listen to the rest of the Last Man Standing OST if you want gritty, grungy stuff.  The very first track is something else entirely (the grit starts at 1 minute in).

Well, going down with the ship is the captain's job after all...

And that's what Shepard did.

Joker got what he deserved, as you said.

Good luck w/ that.  I had a friend who's lifelong dream was similar.  He ended up working for a defense contractor instead.

Y'know what Joker would like to have for a birthday present?

An enviro-suit.

It makes perfect sense! It would keep the temperature just in the perfect zone, he could make faces behind the visor. He wouldn't have to take it off to visit a toilet, nor getting up from his chair. Neither for a lunch. He could make those snarky comments without the fear of a falcon punch inside his helmet.

And in case of another Collector attack, he could disable the ME-fields and just drift gently in the vacuum of space to the escape pod.

Mordin:  Absolutely, antibiotics will also increase blood flow for added stimulation...

Garrus* Walks in*  I did not just hear that hear that..

Mordin:  What nothing to be ashamed of.. perfectly natural.  Yeomen Chambers shown increasing interest in  Turian biology and mating customs..

If you had to save Tali or the entire Quarian population.

Which would you choose.

Remember, picking the Tali and letting the Quarians die would mean a really, REALLY, pissed off Tali. Which means Tali hates you and you get no love.
