If the enviroment from their ships are considered it is likely a Jungle world, or Woodland. Also the enviromental effects added to the air seemed to have a High Humidity, so I doubt arid homeworld. As for skin color not 100% sure I could pin that down.

True, but artificial environment does not equal homeworld.  That's part of the problem the quarians have.

I disagree. It can be easily validated with the fact, that in arid enviroments it's hard to grow crop. So thus, more fertile and moist enviroment is needed.

I could see it. Flexible and strong toes, legs built for leaping. But it seems like their arms would be larger and more muscled if that was the case.
Unforuately more arid could mean 10% less overall water than Earth or 70% and we're taking about Arakis here. (Though a desert dwelling quarian race could work as well. Active at night due to lower temps, broad toes for traction on sand, etc)

I took "arid" to mean a little less water, not drell-homeworld-dry.

That said, "arid" doesn't mean hot, either.  The Siberian steppes are pretty arid, and Antarctica would be a desert if the snow wasn't already there.  However, since Tali doesn't seem to like the cold, and the body type doesn't seem well-suited to heat retention, I think we can discount that.

But they would want an enviroment that is closer to their comfort level which would mean closer to the homeworld enviroment.

Cribbing clan names from the ships that the Admirals represent. Otherwise, I've got no names.

No speculation needed.  There must have been enough plants around for it to affect quarian evolution, since their weak immune system was sorta symbiotic in regards to spreading pollen in the absence of insects.

It would be funny if those giant spheres on the Liveships turns out to be super advanced holo-decks with adjustable gravity and climate-simulators.

Highly unlikely, but it would be hilarious.

I don't think comfort comes into it.  They're struggling just to survive.

Indeed. Tali's figure and other quarian's too, could suggest that their bodies evolved to be more slender and petite to dispose the extra heat off to cool their bodies.

Lean, runners' physiques, yeah.  Hence my theory about plains and ambush hunting.

Yeah. Those are crops. It's not for recreation or anything. They can't take their suits off on the liveships, for sure. It's not like they'd be able to enjoy the moisture or anything.

Actually I think this part probably gives the most weight to the aboreal or savannah/plains theories. I can't see that form of relationship working on a planet that had large stretches of desolate area.

I think my favorite theory is still that their primary area of evolution would be more of a rolling savannah, a combination of african savannah and midwestern US plains.

I usually say "savannah" since it's got the really tall grass and it's possibly where humanity got its start, too.

Ah, perhaps there was a slight misunderstanding? I didn't mean as what kind of flora did Rannoch support, but as what they chose for the lifeships to support. As you know, there isn't large field of crops in Siberia steppes, as the enviroment is just too arid to grow such plants for a viable support.

Am I making any sense? :?

I was agreeing with you, actually.  You were saying that desert didn't seem that plausible.

Communal ambush hunters makes the most sense.

I still stand by my theory of at least PART of their evolution being similar to earth predators. You can't look at those legs and not think "raptor". At least I can't.
