A brain right now is not really the same as a hard drive. Sure, it can be "wiped" if you die or you are injured, but that's not the same as wiping a hard drive - because the hard drive can be reasonably salvaged and used again, intentionally. You cannot - so far as we have progressed - simply click a button and have a memory inserted into your brain or a specific memory erased.nitefyre410 wrote...

The geth are machines, no sense in arguing otherwise. They are no alive, they can be broken, taken apart, rebuilt, and work along the lines of software. However, they are clearly articulate, they think for themselves, they react to outside events, the geth may even be developing emotions if you take into account some of Legion's reactions. When people try to compare geth to living beings, it does not work because the geth are machines.
They are that different, but does being different make them any less? Organic life is alien to them, they are unsure of how to approach because they are aware of their condition.
And human being can't,,, you bones can be replaced, organs transplanted , limbs take and prostetics put on. You brain saves data by using electrical impulses between neurons, instead of programs we call them memories. damage the brain and it can wiped clean just like a hard drive on a computer... your memories can be wiped clean just like lines of the software code. just like a machine...
What makes something life is not what it is made of ... its something more... something that can to quantified
True the point I was trying to across was that we are nothing more than squishy machines in some ways just very advanced ... Which brings up a question that I am not going to ask for fear of if i do the thread and internet would simply imploded and suck into the void of the sci-fi philosophical doom... please let back away while we can..
