"Wedding."

That has started to become a key word lately. I'm unsure how to feel about this.

Personally, I don't like the idea of a "wedding" between normal humans in this date and time.  Thus I extend this feeling to my Shepard; he sees them as archaeic in a galaxy far past such events.

But I also understand how some people could want one between Tali and Shepard.  Also I still hold to the idea that the Alliance hasn't changed the laws regarding non-human relationships since before first contact, and thus such relationships are technically illegal (and thus unable to be legally recognized in a wedding).  Just an interesting dynamic I'm tossing into BtV, but I like the implications...^_^

There has been a boom in wedding minifics. I felt like going outside to take some smoke breaks when they appeard.
And I don't even smoke.

Ah.  Well, maybe something else will come along to cheer you up.

Queue the Council chamber, filled with spectators and literally thousands of cameras. The Migrant Fleet is parked outside the Citadel. Half of the invited guests are Quarians, with the Admiralty Board up front, and the centerpiece of the whole affair, the bride, is an unsuited Quarian decked out with a small fortune of clothing and jewlery.

Political ****storm would be putting it mildly, Udina.

Such a scene would be breathtaking to behold.  The eyes of the galaxy transfixed upon the beacon of heroic humanity... as it "debases itself" by marrying a scavenger and thief.  [/The Illusive Man]

In reality, I would love to see it.

As far as in-game goes? I don't care if they put in a wedding or not. It does not seem likely though, at all. Ideally, I would not want any romance to have substantial content over another. Unless the other romance interests have the same thing or of the same magnitude, it would not be fair. I cannot see certain love interests like Jack marrying.

You want to value the time you have being a bachelor, right?

Yeah, it's just supposed to be funny.

Ah. I see. I just skimmed down to the part you mentioned, so I wasn't sure in what context the story was written in.

This, pretty much.  It's nice to dream and all, but BW's not going to step into this hole, I think.

Could be for the best. He should probably focus on his studies.

I couldn't see any of them marrying, at least not without some time to add for their relationship.

This all comes back down to whether or not we can see Shepard ever settling down.

Maybe.  That's supposing he's not just lurking right now anyway.

I just don't like the decadence that Weddings usually are imbibed with.  Legal matters regarding wealth distrubution upon divorce (now the statistically probable ending to any marriage) are also troubling.

Or maybe I just fear commitment. :pinched:

For some reason, I just don't see any of the potential love interests getting married.

Do you mean this as 'would Shepard be the type of person who would want to settle down' or in the more literal sense of actually seeing it in game?

They could do a dragon-age-esque "and this is what happens down the road" ending in which they show the results your actions had on the universe.

Not that I support that...

Hopefully we are given some choice as to what Shepard does after the galaxy is saved from the Reapers. If not, I may prefer something vague. I do not envision my Shepard dying from some battle while serving the Alliance.
