Can she even have kids?

There's some speculation in the Jack thread that she may be unable to, but there's nothing definite yet.

Heavy drug use alongside her Biotic abilities could be childbearing a near-impossible probablitly.

Fairpoint. I had forgotten about the drug use. Although I don't see how biotic abilities would mar the chances?

But science could find a way, that is most certain.

Heh. Certainly within a science fiction universe.

I'd be wary of nursing, too.  Who knows what's in there.

Sorry, too much?

Thats funny that you should say that.  I always saw Ellie as analogous to Tali, in that they both would want to have children, and they both couldn't (Tali by her relationship with Shep, obviously).

I just watched that, actually. The beginning of the movie was a bit emotional and depressing. The movie turned out fantastic. I was surprised about how good it was. The movie was charming.

Look through the Old Testament or a map of Israel.  Seems to me a lot of Khelish names are inspired from those.  One more way the quarians remind me of Homeworld.

One of the invocations Shala'Raan makes during the start of the trial is a direct word-for-word translation of a Jewish prayer. That and specific mention of Passover in a Cerberus Daily News article makes me believe that Bioware has at least one Jewish writer on staff.

...and I have no problem admitting it. If there has been any better storytelling (without dialogue) than the introduction to Up in the history of Hollywood, I'd like to see it.

Now I'm just postulating, but we know that children (even in utero) are capable of being effected by Mass Effect fields.  Jack's excessive power with her biotics could hurt the child, as its own nervous system might not be capable of taking the power Jack puts out, even passively.

It's true. I noticed some similarities to what was in the Old Testament. Though - I'd hate for them to use the Bible as inspiration too much, for obvious reasons. I thought "Archangel" and Garrus' 12 "disciples" and you know Sidonis/Judas was an interesting touch, though.

Funny story:  Whisperer in the Darkess is the single story of his I don't have in hard copy.  I can't justify buying a book with a bunch of duplicates in it just to have that one.  I keep hoping to find it anthologized with some more sci-fi-ish weird fiction, but no luck.  I've been making do with a printout from the internet.

Well, plus the prosecution they experience.  And the fact that the Morning War turned into a pogrom.

I never got the notion from Tali that she wanted to bear children with Shepard...

I actually was tearing up during Toy Story 3, which surpassed Wall-E where I only had a mild incentive to cry.

Eezo exposure is harmful to a fetus anyway, I think.  Aren't most of those exposed miscarried or something?

Now that we're admitting, I did get teary eyed during the introduction. No words, yet told everything. All of the emotions were there. It was powerful.

That kid is going to be sooooo effed up.
Not necessarily in a bad way, but. . . there is zero chance of normalcy there.

Just projecting what I see their relationship coming to.  Plus, Raela has kind of worked itself into my "Mass Effect Canon".

I did not know this.  Very clever.  They sort of have had a Passover and Exodus, haven't they?

IIRC, Eezo did cause complications - including cancerous sicknesses if I recall.

I only have one book of his, being a collection of several stories. Though I have read many of them from other collections of books I borrowed from the library.

Yes, people still use the library.

Wall-E nearly broke me down emotionally. The only other movie that came that close before or since has been Green Mile.
But I've yet to see Up or TS3.

The Quarians are very much exiles themselves. Very Exodus, yes. Pilgrimages...a lot of homages to the Bible, really. It's fascinating.

I almost never buy books:  I never read stuff more than once, usually.  I just have a few treasured books I have to own, like HPL's stuff.  Everything I read at the library.

Yeah, but throw Jack into that equation and. . . I don't even wanna think about it.
