Okay, just got Legion. Convince me to turn him on without pissing off my girlfriend.

You need convinced to look into the only realistic path of reclaiming the quarian homeworld?

I'm doing this in-character.  Shepard's trying to save as many lives as possible.  He doesn't know that the geth are willing to have peace.  Why would he assume they are?

Its a huge reward no risk situation.  In character (so I'm assuming metagaming is out the window,) if you turn him on and he just acts like any other geth, you can deactivate him in that conversation.  You know from the derelict reaper that he's different, he can talk, and he helped you.  That alone is worth picking his brain a little if possible.  Not activating him is a stupid missed opportunity for gaining information.  Maybe you turn him on, he says "death to all organics," and you shut him off, but maybe there's more to the geth than people think.

Aren't they all adapted?  It's not like the Collector Armor is literally a Collector's skin.

Collector's skin? hmm I need to read the codex.

The collector armour is partly made from Collector exoskeleton, thats why it is sometimes referred to as the 'Collector Chitin armour'.

Never gonna find out what the hell it was doing on that ship not trying to kill Shep if you don't turn it on.  And do you REALLY want Cerberus getting their hands on it?

This is a good point.  Shepard is curious about that, at least.  You will be rewarded with more silly fanfic in a minute.

Right, but it's not just a skinned Collector.  It's adapted.

Also, Sins of a Solar Empire is awesome and has an awesome name.

Actually curious what all Tali could have, have ideas for my own fic but havent fleshed them out yet.

Biomonitoring at the very least.  Possibly some sort of deep medigel distribution system.  If I was going to be stuck in a suit, I'd at least consider a link to the nervous system somehow so that I could retain some sense of touch beyond gross pressure.

Pretty much this.

BioWare wouldn't make Legion a part of the main story if he wasn't important.

I think if you hand him over to Cerberus, he'll return in ME3, because they got what they wanted and have no further use of him.

Wouldn't the quarians be the first people to try that? It would seem the more higher up (military, etc.) people would be granted suits that would allow them the opportunity. Tali didn't get it. She can't feel the flowers... I don't see it as a likely concept to be used.

The heavy weapon isn't.  It was acquired and used right off of the battlefield.

True, but I can't get at the codex to look at what it says at the moment, so I withhold rebuttal.

That doesn't explain how Cerb has anything on the Protheans to put in Shep.  After all, it comes as a surprise that the Collectors ARE the Protheans.

I'm talking stuff like hot/cold/sharp/etc.  The texture of a flower petal is probably a bit beyond mass-produceable technology, especially on a budget.

I always thought that the lack of a tactile simulator with the quarian suits was a little off personally.  That's one of those things that's easily conceivable for us, and unless I'm mistaken, is already in primative use currently.  It would be very useful for the quarians in their every day lives with working on ships and stuff.  Its definitely in the realm of believable advancements in technology, I kind of think that Bioware just ignored it to add some more emotion to the whole trapped in their suits thing.

What about it?  It's in Shep's head.  And if you're talking about Ilos, the Council doesn't seem to have been able to get anything off it.

Anyway, Occam's Razor:  there's no reason to suspect something for which there is only circumstantial evidence when there are other easier explanations.

I see. I suppose temperature variation should be easily enough copied through sensors and such on the outside of the suit.

Even if that WAS the case, not being able to feel anything with your

It would never be as good as the real thing. My sorrow for Tali and the quarian race.

Precisely, Chitin is like natures steel. If I were to guess, Cereberus removed the exoskeleton and then grafted it on to a Human Hardsuit. Because of its organic nature they were able to use ' advanced regeneration amplifiers' to essentially heal the armour during battle. This explains the increased health and regen rate granted by the armour.

Also, yes Sins is awesome, one of my favourite games actually. It puts a lot of what happens in the Mass Effect games into perspective really.
