I'd just like to interject that if anyone has a huge issue with fearing and hating the unknown, it's humanity.

Dear lord, it is humanity.

on the contrary we do not fear or hate the unknown we simply have an unquenchable desire to to beat the living crap out of it and subjegate it to our willImage IPB

And in some way definitely the very end of it, Landing on Rannoch and the last flight of the Migrant Fleet, it was amazing.
And making a good guy from the Illusive man... I just feel right about it, I don't know why but way you showed him was the Great ending for a great man.

There are two things that  pushed in this direction with  Cerberus and the Illusive  Man first my conversations with Miranda she says  that she wishes there were more  people like  Shepherd in Cerberus  not as man  Xenophobes. That comment told me two things.

1.  Miranda is not a Xenophobe

2. That Cerberus as  great potential for good. and a lot people needed to be cleaned out.

For me that  fact that Illusive Man always mentions humanity, not the Alliance, human race. Humanity got me thinking. What the hell is so special about humanity  and boom it hit me. Humanity adapts, humanity grows, humanity leans and moves past  differences. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast but we always do. That is something the other Council Races lack.   Look a Shepherds crew, Turian and human, Krogan and Salarian, Geth and Quarian.

The ability to unify people around  us is what the Reapers  probably fear the most.  The Reapers for Centuries have used fear as means of the destruction.   Thats why humanity i feel is so important to TIM  the courage to face the impossible and not blink. Its what the other races lack. or fail to see in each other.

I thinkg that "...Turian and human, Krogan and Salarian, Geth and Quarian..." has something to do with Shepard himself than the humanity, like TIM said he's a natural leader.

I believe TIM wants the best for the Humanity. Not without side profit but still. Every race has devils and saints,  and so do Humans, but you are right about the attitude of Humanity in general.
TIM is not one of the saints and he would be the first to admit it (Like Miranda said) but he has goal that's worth fighting for. I just disagree with his sometimes extreme methods and he's even going to extreme with his goal, namely progress of Humanity at the expense of the other races.

And for the Reapers, I don't they used fear, they don't have to.
They just poped up from the dark space every time so the organics neither had time for something like fear... And boom!!! They were ones of the Reapers too and fully understanded why are Reapers doing all those things so lets join them too. And this cycle was repeating again and again.... And now we are standing before millions of them, millions of ancient races turned into the Reapers want to do us the same thing.

Edit:
And to add one more thing...
I think that the other races had the courage to face the impossible too, but they are "old" species in compare to Humanity OR have their own problems:

Krogans have genophage
Quarians are living on a Migrant Fleet, they don't have enough resources for some huge progress.
Elkors... Well, they are... "slow" in compare to the others.
Hanars same like the Elkors when out of water.
Volus are not able to do almost anything except making money.
And I could continue....

We are very young among them so we have the energy, the fuel they've already used.

My biggest thing about the  Reapers is that we don't know what they really are, Legion has given us a  idea starting that they are something like Geth  but not. i don't buy the  Giant Space squid  of doom  thing.   they come the shut down the mass relay's, wipe out entire races and gather up the one that has most potential but yet the leave the tech they created behind. I don't know I have theories that i am going explore  while  I write  Mass Effect: Precipice

Edit:  Well  T.i.M is just complicated  just when i peg him  down,  he
shifts the way I wrote him was that he as Prothean  AI  from the start
the is something almost too logical about his approach and its like he
is  guiding  Shepherd giving him options  but all  choices lead down
the same road  T.I.M is very hard to figure out.

Well, you have partly my theory upwards in my previous post. I can write it whole but I'd always got lost in it when I tried earlier. It's easier to sort it in my head than in some post. <_<

For now I consider TIM as one of those charaters "neither good  or evil" he is full of conflict and disagreement for me and really don'T know what to think about him... yet.

Children are sociopaths until they reach a certain age. I will forever maintain this.

I think it varies from child to child. And between genders.

I'd say its around puberty, though. Then they just become bastards, but not full sociopaths.
