Or is it? Dun-dun-dunnnnn.

But yeah, same here. I will avoid the forums, maybe for even months before the game is out. I don't want to see any trailers, teaser pics. Nothing,

I'lll see it all. SPoilers don't ruin my fun. In fact, there's a certain type of spoiler I'm counting on reading.

Yeah, I don't mind spoilers too much personally.  I'll avoid them if possible, but I would much rather avoid wasting 60 dollars on a game that doesn't have a happy ending for my Shep and Tali than stay spoiler free.  Being surprised that I just wasted money isn't my kind of fun. :pinched:

Wlll... I may buy, but only when the game is in the bargain bin for a pittance.

If she isn't count me out.

Yeah. If Tali is for some stupid not in ME3, that will be such a turn off.

I will have little/no motivation to play it if that happens.

You know what? I bet that Tali will be in ME3, but will not be revealed until 1 week before release. You know, so the BW people can laugh at us raging that "she's isn't".

Why does Stanley Woo shut down this thread repeatedly anyhow?

I be rather surprised if Tali doesn't even make it into the third game. I also think there a prety good chance we might get the epiologue romance scene too!

Anyone who looks at the situation the slightest bit analytically can tell that the characters will be back, I expect it to come out relatively early on in the marketing for the game personally.  There's no reason to announce it now, but once they start hyping ME3, I'd expect that news to come pretty soon since it is so obvious.

The ending is what I'm concerned about :bandit:

So he is doing simply because he "feels like it"?

That sounds like abuse of administrative power to me.

Of course, if you see thing from a strictly logical point of view, it obvious that all/most characters would be there from the get-go. But do not forget the power of marketing: Imagine they arent advertised at the begining of the campain. Would you not like to know every bit of information that comes out? Until you have THE information you want? That everyone wnat? Wouldn't it build a huge hype for the game?

I can see Bioware doing that, and they would be right. I would hate them for doing so and making me frustrated, but that would be perfectly understandable.

Back when the forums were more tightly moderated, they used to shut down threads that got over 100 pages or so.  The reason being that they were harder to follow and moderate once they got too big.  Now, I'm less clear on the reasoning, but its not really an abuse of power or anything to lock threads for being too big.

Its too big to hide for that long I think.  Any gameplay footage or similar that they show would have to eschew the characters completely.  Maybe they get around that by only announcing 2 or 3, but I see that being the start of the hype machine more than the finale really.  Nothing says hear comes ME3 like announcing the characters are coming back.  Showing similar gameplay will hardly drum up interest.

Oh, forgot that part.

I have played most of BW games. From Baldur's gate to Dragon Age, including KOTOR and NWN. And never, EVER have I been disapointed in the ending of a game. Ever. Everytime I finished one of their game, I felt only one thing: satisfaction. I was glad to have done it, and glad about what I saw.

I trust them to deliver an appropriate ending. A "perfect" ending would be too subjective, but it will be good. Of that I do not have any doubt.

I'm not too concerned about it really, I have a pretty good idea of where the story is going to go.  That said, there's a lot bigger of a chance of Bioware screwing up the ending, killing off Shep or the crew or something stupid like that, than there is of not bringing the team back.  If that's the ending, I'd prefer to not play the game personally, that's all.

When using it in this thread it can apply to any particularly out there post.  In the ME universe, I would guess that Tali space-Googled quarian/human relations and got a surprising result :P

I would do it as it was in ME2. Shep or any of our crewmates can die but it will depend on your actions.
I don'T know how about side-characters that are not in our Team, like Anderson, Kal but I would do the same thing if possible.

If you found out romancing Tali in ME2 would cause her to die of infection in ME3 would you still romance Tali ME2? Maybe the catch is to romance Tali without her ending up dead is to wait (which is an option) until mass effect 3.

I don't know what to say about it. BioWare have written good endings before.

But the whole thing about everyone dying to show that what they are doing is serious got old really fast in ME2.

I'm also don't think they can come up with a good and believable scenario where everyone is killed one by one based on your choices (again) that involves the Reapers.

Of course not, the game gave us that choice, and the path was to wait for Tali to do the research to make sure that didn't happen.  Research done, she found that the risk wasn't more serious than cold like symptoms.  Everyone is happy.  Making up new problems would be pointless, Tali wouldn't carelessly miss something that would put her in that much danger.
