I'm not too concerned about it really, I have a pretty good idea of where the story is going to go.  That said, there's a lot bigger of a chance of Bioware screwing up the ending, killing off Shep or the crew or something stupid like that, than there is of not bringing the team back.  If that's the ending, I'd prefer to not play the game personally, that's all.

I don't know what to say about it. BioWare have written good endings before.

But the whole thing about everyone dying to show that what they are doing is serious got old really fast in ME2.

I'm also don't think they can come up with a good and believable scenario where everyone is killed one by one based on your choices (again) that involves the Reapers.

Agreed, I expect sickeningly happy all around personally.  The reapers are dead, the galaxy is at peace, the quarians get Rannoch back, Shep and Tali live happily ever after however the player wants.  I would have no complaints B)

If you found out romancing Tali in ME2 would cause her to die of infection in ME3 would you still romance Tali ME2? Maybe the catch is to romance Tali without her ending up dead is to wait (which is an option) until mass effect 3.

Nah. All she got was a fever, a cough and a running nose. It's not like Shepard has something...transferable either.

And if she has an infection due to the romance, it would show a lot sooner.

If fighting is assured to lead to victory, then fight. -War 101.

According to Legion, whenever the quarians felt success was a possibility, they have attacked 100% of the time. Hasn't led them to victory yet.

Then victory isn't assured.

They probably thought it was when they attacked.

Yeah   Sun Tzu  did say that but he  instructed you not to fight up hill battles as well  and fighting the Geth is an up hill battle that I will put in very plan and clear terms  for every  Geth-Quarin war supporter out there.

If the Quarians go to war with the Geth

They

Will

Lose

That is it... it would be Picketts Charge in  Space.

It's the only epilogue Mass Effect 3 needs.

Indeed, but except this one, I know about another one ending that I would appreciate.

i'd personally be very receptive to a plotline where we realize the reapers cannot be defeated and the cycle continues indefinately. i mean its happened at least hundreds of times before, the only thing that makes humanity special in any story we write it is the fact we wrote it and thus always win. also i'd like to know if its just our galaxy the reapers f*ck with or all of the billions of others in the universe.

Well, Vigil said they "hibernate" in the Drak Space for 50k years but Reapers don't look like someone who would waste time like this. And it was only a Prothean theory so I'm saying, thery are "redeeming" other galaxies too.

I disagree with the only thing different being the narrator.  The reapers always win because they cheat.  Societies throughout history depended on the mass relays and the Citadel, and the reapers take those things away before the war starts.  Its like an enemy taking away all of your weapons, killing your generals, and then declaring war on you.  The ME races won't have to deal with that handicap.  They will maintain the ability to coordinate and organized resistance, and make the reapers fight a fair fight for the first time ever.  That's why they have the best chance of anyone to live (thanks protheans :wizard:)

Also, assuming Shep gets the people ready before the reapers actually get here, that's another bonus, no one in the past had an advanced warning, and a headstart in the defence effort.

By a "fair fight" you mean that our fleet will be smashed from the sky after 10 minutes instead of 5?
And I don't think we are the frist "race" that got a warning but maybe the first "race" that will make it. :D

well... taking into account that soverign and his far inferior fleet of geth lackeys destroyed most of the fleet guarding the citadel and sov. was only killed when shep "reversed the polarity" of his shields by killing his saren avatar, i cant see much hope in the galaxy defending against at least hundreds of reapers seen at the end of ME2 without a LLRRUDUDAB code of his own which may just ****** me off.
