Hey i don't want any Evangelion like endings in my Mass Effect the ending of that series was mind bending enough. The Big epic space battle nis ot going to the key to beating the Reapers.. Sorry kiddies if we try to fight them head up we'll lose every time hands down. There is no way they can build the ships needed for that battle in that short amount of time. It took an entire fleet to take down one and He was not the most powerful. Nope we got figure A. What the Reapers Really are because there not giant flying space squid of doom.. B. Once we do that then we can do, what we do best... Kill em. But throwing ships and fleets at them is going be to like throwing beeps a freight train... good luck with that.
I just want to point out something here, the battle was not one on one with Sovereign. It was Sovereign and a gigantic fleet of small and maneuverable geth ships that were on par with the council armies. The majority of the losses weren't created by Sovereign himself, he did hardly anything. The only thing the battle proves is that the geth could be a very serious galactic threat if they wanted to be.
The Thanix cannon is a step in the right direction as far as anti-reaper weaponry is concerned, they need to continue working on weapons that can stop the reapers, because as we've seen, they aren't invincible.
Wishful thinking, 10,000 dead, hundreds of ships destroyed to kill one Reaper, one Reaper. Multiply those numbers out over say 100, 1000, 10,000, or however big their fleet is.... with Just 100 Reapers your take losses that no fleet can hold against. Thanix cannon is a weapon based of off Reaper, banking on that is like banking on a trojan horse. We know that they want use to use there tech its all part their plan...
You could argue the Mirgant Fleet but really most of the ships are junkers, transport and Live ships not military craft.

Shepard sides with Xen and reinslaves the geth. In the first game, Tali and Legion started getting along. Throughout 3, Tali has come to view the geth more as people, and respects Legion a bit more. How do you think she'll respond to Shepard siding with Xen?

WAY before I came on here, or before ME2 was even announced... I started MY playthrough. Before doing it, I planned everything out ahead of time. I resolved that the simple fact was, I loved Tali. Not Ash. Not Liara. Tali. As such, so does my Shepard. If Bioware never made her romanceable, I'd never romance anyone, because I'd never romance anyone else. Simple as that.

Hmm...
Well, we can safely assume she'll get along with Legion and eventually see that geth are intelligent creatures. So, she probably won't approve of enslaving them.
However, assuming Xen can actually get it to work well enough to ensure the geth can't rebel again, I imagine she could be convinced so long as Shepard is the one trying to convince her.

I don't know where you're getting that it was facing one reaper. The fight was against one reaper, who wasn't directly involved in the fight for the most part, and a modern army. The geth fleet had to account for over 90% of the casualty numbers that you list. It shows us that any battle is going to have casualties, but it means nothing in the grand scheme of the fight with the reapers. They won't have a geth army with them the next time.
As far as the Thanix cannon, its based off the reaper weapons, there is no indication anywhere that the reapers are able to stop it. Its not in the same vein as the mass relays, where the reapers purposely left them for people to find and use, it was tech reverse engineered off of a dead reaper. Surely they hadn't planned on that happening. The collector ship showed us how well the reapers defend against heated metal accelerated to relativistic speeds.
How big the reaper fleet is is a large variable. You could make a case for it being tens of thousands or higher, but all that we know is that its at least close to 300 (I believe there are 292 in the picture at the end.) Until further proof is given, I'm assuming that for close to the total.
No one's saying it will be easy, but we will have all ships in the galaxy working together, and a lot better weaponry than we had 2 years ago for Sovereign.

The turian tried a casual shrug. "If you're hurting for things to do, maybe after work we could...catch a vid or something?"
The quarian sitting across from him waved her hand, dismissing the matter. "Oh, that's sweet. But I'm okay. A little dry spell isn't going to kill me."
"We could watch Fleet and Flotilla." The turian leaned over his drink, studying the glass and the green liquid housed within. "It got awards for its portrayal of, um...turian and quarian relationships."
The quarian must not have processed that. "Anyway," she interrupted, with a bit of sultry flair, "if worst comes to worst..." She waved her hand over her chest, indiciating the area between her legs. "I did have the...nerve stimulation program built into my suit."
"And I hear that the love scenes are...what?"
"Oh yeah," the quarian said. "Standard equipment for any responsible adult." Her omni-tool appeared, and her fingers lurked over the buttons. "Here, let me fire it up..."
"This is getting hot."
The quarian gasped, and craned her neck around to notice the tall alien looming over the booth she and the turian were occupying. "Uh, excuse me? Private con-ver-say-tion?"
The alien shone his red light at the quarian's visor. "IGNORE ME!"
"Get over here!" Shepard yanked the Grand Galactic Inquisitor over to his side by tugging on his arm. "I'm sorry for causing you any trouble," he said to the quarian.
"Then keep your friend on a leash," the turian said.
Shepard's eyes narrowed. "I'll do that once your friend stops talking about masturbating in public." Without waiting for a response, he turned around and walked off, dragging the Inquisitor with him.
"Continue talking about masturbation normally!" the Inquisitor shouted.
"Shut UP," Shepard demanded.
This... is... AWESOME

Really, it seems you just like Xen and you want to believe that Tali wouldn't be against it. Tali thought that creating the Geth in the first place was a mistake. Enslaving the Geth AGAIN would seem stupid to Tali, and was exactly her reaction to Xen's schemes. Furthermore, I highly doubt that anything that Xen (or Shepard) will convince Tali that hacking the Geth would be a good idea, instead of just creating the Morning War all over again. Tali would be even more against it after working with Legion.RiptideX1090 wrote...

If that was REALLY the case, the Collectors could have hacked the Normandy's Thannix Cannon.
Ergo, your theory is null in void. If you attatched Soveriegns gun to your ship, you'd have a problem. Building a gun that does the same thing with your own materials and programming and such, posses no risk. This is the difference between the Normandy's Thannix and the Reaper's IFF.

I don't understand the jump from a purposeful evolution trap that the reapers left, to suddenly all reaper tech being a trojan horse. They're different things. The reapers have a second level of tech on the relays. They can take control of the Citadel with a surprise attack (could before prothean intervention, technically,) and then shut them off unless you have a reaper IFF, leaving civilization stranded. That doesn't mean they can suddenly use any reaper tech against whoever they want whenever they want. The relays were designed specifically for the trojan horse purpose, heating metal to relativistic speeds was not.
