@Rip: Even if the weapon was sure to work, but the problem is again conveying and convincing people that it's sure to work. I'm sure Tali already knows about a lot of "sure to work" schemes that have ended in disaster, such as Rael's experiments. I don't think Tali would believe Xen. Or Shepard.
Tali's romance is actually the most variable in ME2 - her romance has the most ways of being terminated or never started.
You don't do her loyalty mission, no romance (Jacob's romance does not need the loyalty mission to start).
You reveal the evidence, no romance, and no charm and intimidate to get her loyalty back.
You side with Legion, no romance. You can charm or intimidate her loyalty back, but the romance is over.
A very good point.
Tali has lines she doesn't cross. She doesn't compromise herself for Shepard, nor does she have to.
A very interesting view in regards to the issue...
Which is why I like her so much.
Ash can be swayed. Liara is all about sex when you talk to her... Miranda is extremely insecure, and I hate babying her. Jack... well... actually, I love Jack. A lot. She's like the crazy little sis I never wanted, but I'm glad I have. But even she can be bent.
Tali? No. Tali doesn't change. She argues wtih you. She stands up to you and she doesnt' back down. She acts like Shepard's equal. Shepard is better than Ash, Liara, Miranda, and Jack, they all look to him for leadership and guidance, and while Tali does that too, she also isn't afraid to tell him like it is.
I dont' just love that, I can also respect that. That's important to me.
