Man, nobody could hack those Thanix Cannons as much as Garrus calibrates the damned things. That's why he's always calibrating them, you know. It's to keep the Reapers out of his stuff.

Sometimes I worry that the Thanix Cannon has a psuedo-endoctrination effect.

Yeah, it makes you keep thinking "must calibrate.. muuust caliiibrate"

Kikai, did you know you have your own Google quick-suggestion entry? I was wondering what come up for kicks and giggles. I must say, the stuff thats easily available about you is slightly disturbing..Especially that picture of that fire dude whos "feeling nuts".

@Rip: Even if the weapon was sure to work, but the problem is again conveying and convincing people that it's sure to work. I'm sure Tali already knows about a lot of "sure to work" schemes that have ended in disaster, such as Rael's experiments. I don't think Tali would believe Xen. Or Shepard.

Tali's romance is actually the most variable in ME2 - her romance has the most ways of being terminated or never started.

You don't do her loyalty mission, no romance (Jacob's romance does not need the loyalty mission to start).

You reveal the evidence, no romance, and no charm and intimidate to get her loyalty back.

You side with Legion, no romance. You can charm or intimidate her loyalty back, but the romance is over.

I was not expecting to find images of male x male intimacy when I looked up your name. You're full of surprised arent you?

EDIT: I also re-installed my copy of Fallout 3 and downloaded a crapload of mods. I saw your name on the weekly top 100.

A very good point.

Tali has lines she doesn't cross. She doesn't compromise herself for Shepard, nor does she have to.

A very interesting view in regards to the issue...

My thinking is that kinetic barriers in general would be useless against a weapon like the thanix cannon
.  If something like that is true, suddenly the reapers are a lot less invincible.  Even if its only less effective, scenes like the one with the Alliance fleet constantly bombarding Sovereign's shields should be a thing of the past.

How so its still a kinnetic weapon. It would definately be more effective I think the codex says they can manufacture a version that is mountable on a fighter allowing it to rival a crusers fire power A FRIGIN CRUISER. The only thing with more kick is the primary MA on a dreadnought. I say swarm tactics with thousanda upon thousands of fighters armed with the Thanix.

I actually question their advancement after a certain point.  I could very easily see them settling into a routine that works, and then sticking with that.  If the keeper>Citadel>fish in a barrel, plan worked 700 times in a row, why bother increasing your tech level?  They're gods in their own eyes after all, immortal.  They don't need to fear organics and evolve because of them.  They're above us.

i find the fact that the reaper wasn't already in its current state before the firing of the klendagon rift gun is idiotic. the chance of hitting a target that small at interstellar distances if it has the ability to move itself is exactly zero. not to mention finding where the shot came from and where it was going by a big rift on an orbiting rotating planet are also pretty much zero...

They could have also found a way to temporarily disable it so they could actually hit the thing. There's no way of knowing.

Hell, I'm more worried about whoever thought it would be a gloriously awesome idea to put Legion in the AI Core. Seriously, did they get that suggestion from Kelly or something?

HEY WE FOUND THIS SENTIENT MACHINE LET'S PUT IT IN WITH THE BRAIN OF OUR OTHER SENTIENT MACHINE THAT'S TOTALLY A GREAT IDEA!

Which is why I like her so much.

Ash can be swayed. Liara is all about sex when you talk to her... Miranda is extremely insecure, and I hate babying her. Jack... well... actually, I love Jack. A lot. She's like the crazy little sis I never wanted, but I'm glad I have. But even she can be bent.

Tali? No. Tali doesn't change. She argues wtih you. She stands up to you and she doesnt' back down. She acts like Shepard's equal. Shepard is better than Ash, Liara, Miranda, and Jack, they all look to him for leadership and guidance, and while Tali does that too, she also isn't afraid to tell him like it is.

I dont' just love that, I can also respect that. That's important to me.

yeah, i can very easily beliee the million year stagnation of their technology from after they advanced to their current form of AI's in a mechanical shell. just because they're millions of years ahead of us doesn't mean they're millions of years more advanced. like mordin said you need a barrier to truely advance and overcome it (or something like that). the reapers have been getting by with what they have for millions of years so why bother advancing. they could me no more than a few hundred years ahead of the citadel civilization but thats what makes all the difference, which i now realize sort of goes against my arguement that we don't have a chance against them.

Actually, it was the bit about my Shepard almost getting eaten alive by Thresher Maws along with the rest of his squad then a few years later would be asked for aide by the people who made that wonderful day possible.
