The Ascension project was nearly successful.
But then it ended up crashing and burning in a gigantic ball of fail.
Having the assault betrayed from within only punctuated the growing hilarity afforded by Cerberus' highly equipped commandos being curb-stomped by a little girl.

what? have you played overlord? because IIRC *SPOILER ALERT*

the paragon shep sends the guy to the grissom academy. (aka the ascension project place)

OH! and shep even mentions the ascension project in jack's loyalty mission as if its ongoing.

I mean... these are the kind of people Cerberus uses... these two are probably thier top operatives!

What does that tell you?

Cerberus is going to need to promote a couple new top operatives? ^_^

Hell, just look at Jacob and Miranda. They're both just as stupid and useless.

Jacob is either a compulsive liar, or ignorant, or both. And Miranda? A stuck up **** with family issues...

That TiM has the managerial capacity of a fast food worker?

Maybe Omega is a gigantic space-cannon. But that reminds me, the Citadel is a gigantic mass relay. Where does it go?

Dark space. That's why the Reapers are now late for the party.

So The Citadel relay just jumps you to a gigantic inky void with no way back except by someone activating the thing from the other end?

Basically, yes. Why do you think they needed a vanguard?

Kind of dumb of them to leave only one, though.

Now that the Collectors & Heretics are gone, who will be our main enemy in ME3? Or perhaps we may something like Dragon Age instead? I have to say, they certainly implied it.

I haven't played Dragon Age, but its not like we really need an overarching enemy aside from the reapers.  The collectors only showed up at the plot checkpoints, mercs and random other aliens made up the enemies in the mean time.  I would expect more of that.  For the krogan mission, we probably fight a rival krogan clan or Blood Pack mercs or something along those lines.
