I do love this picture.  Just seeing the outline is enough to see her beauty

*****slaps*

NO.

We don't need to see an outline to know she's beautiful. She simply IS. It's like quantum physics. It don't make any ****ing sense, but it doesn't need to.

She's gorgeous under there, and you all know it. <3<3<3

Its semantics really, but regardless of how much I know she's beautiful, we can't actually see that yet.  (Thanks Bioware <_<)  I knew a long time ago that she was beautiful, and being able to see more and more of the face just makes it better

While I'm REALLY curious as to what she looks like under there... I wouldnt' be too upset if they never showed her face.

If they never showed ANY quarian's face, YEAH!

But Tali's? I don't care. That's not why I like her. To me? It really doesn't matter at all...

Isn't that the one where Shepard meet's Tali's mother while she's in the late stages of pregnancy?

That's the one.  Him reposting that (and the indirect challenge to somehow make such a connection work with Earthborn) led to Origin, which was my second foray into where "Chiktikka" came from.

It's weird how we've come full circle.

Well,Quarians and Turians are stated to enjoy similar foods, and their body shapes are kinda similar. It's not too far fetched to imagine that there is some evolutionary relationship between the two species.

Image IPB

The sharing food thing is just because they've got the same amino acid base.  It's necessity, not preference.

Seriously, Ascension has already put this thing to bed.

You may be right. I haven't  read ascension, but it's sci-fi, and Bioware can really do anything they choose to and justify it in one way or another. Guess we just have to wait for ME3 to know the true nature of the Quarians. The only certainty is the awesomeness of Tali.

Come on, man. You know me better than that.

See, this is why I use emoticons as much as I do, or else people start thinking I'm being serious and I come off as an ass.

If they don't show her (or any quarian) in ME3, I'm not gonna worry too much. It's closure of a sort, since we'll probably never know then and we're just free to imagine what we like without fear of contradicting canon.

Well, I can imagine some far-off future where the first two have been eliminated. But Tali being gorgeous? That is a universal constant.

Personally, I'm okay with never seeing her face, or any quarians. Actually, I'm kinda for the idea. This way no one's idea of what she looks like is ever destroyed and everyone is free to have their own personal Tali in their heads.
then again, anything BioWare does by this point is going to anger some group or another, but I'd be cool with whatever road they chose to go down.

Indeed.

*Tali, Shepard, and Garrus stand with their weapons ready, scanning the frozen lake of the tundra for signs of life. Tali's voice picks up as she scans her omni-tool.*

Tali: There's nothing here, Shepard. The Sensor Relay on the Normandy must have picked up a ghost reading.

Garrus: Great. Can we go now? Turians hate the cold, remember?

*Shepard folds up his Revenant, staring out at the frozen lake before running out into it and sliding on it's smooth surface. Garrus tilts his head to the side as Tali raises a brow beneath her visor.*

Garrus: What is he doing?

Tali: I'm not sure...

*Tali approaches the edge of the lake, Shepard sliding to meet her and taking her hand in his.*

Shepard: C'mon, the ice is smooth.

Tali: What are you- Oh!

*Shepard pulls Tali with him onto the ice, their boots not exactly ideal, but the ice proving to be smooth enough for them.*

Shepard: Relax your legs. Don't get stiff. Use your momentum.

*Tali slides along the ice with Shepard, a smile crossing her face.*

Tali: Do humans do this often?

Shepard: Some, yes. But we have special shoes with blades attatched to the soles for it. Makes things like this easier.

Tali: Things like wha- Ah!

*Shepard takes Tali into his arms as he sprints across the ice, letting his running momentum carry them across the ice, before tumbling into a bank of snow, laughing as they fall.*

Garrus: Great. Gonna be stuck here...

Now listen to this and imagine them skating...

So, Tali?

I want to see her dance in 3.

You could dance with Ash or Liara in 1.

I want a scene, with dialogue, where you and your LI go to a club and dance.

Little things like that to give the relationship a more lighthearted feel, you know?

Everything's always "blow up this", and "sex can kill me that", I want some god damn normalcy for a bit!

Not much... just something... :crying:

Do you have a link to the original fic?

I wonder how Spacer Shep might have met Tali early on... hmmm.

Supporting this with the fury of 10,000 burning suns.  Liara dancing was one of the few genuinely cute things she did in ME1.  If that could make her desirable, think what it could do with Tali.

Not everyone will survive, probably.

Oh, and here's my first mention of the Paus.

---

In the Paus stories, Chikktika was young, having just finished her Pilgrimage, but usually seemed to be the most important quarian on the ship, after the Captain. When the Paus was in battle, she always had to find a way to fix the shields just in time, or get a little more power out of the engines. Truth be told she was a little hapless otherwise, usually needing to be rescued on alien planets but she never gave up and sometimes she got to rescue someone else; even the Captain, once.

When Tali was still in a bubble, she’d always insisted on being the engineer when she and her friends played the Paus. There were never enough playmates for a full crew so often they didn’t have a Captain, and just carried out his orders when they came over the “radio.” A genuine smile flickered across her lips, remembering how it had felt imagining the Captain’s congratulations after the crew worked together to fight off batarian pirates or some other threat.

I personally think it would be cute either way.

Either she'll drag Shepard to the dance floor, start busting a serious move, a cross between break dancing, ballet, and dirty dancing (Wishful thinking on my part... probably...), leaving Shepard stunned and in shock...

Or she'll be a complete clutz, like Shepard, and will clam up and be all nervous about it, babbling and whatnot.

Either way? ****ing adorable.

The whole 'create your own ideal Tali' thing never seemed right to me.  She isn't supposed to be some perfect woman who I can project my own preferences on to love her more.  She's just a normal person, who happens to be a fictional alien.  She's a fixed character, and that means good, and potential bad.  If something with her face isn't exactly as I imagined it, it doesn't change anything, its still Tali.  Its there already, the only difference is whether or not we see it.

If I never see her face, I still probably won't make up my own version, I'll just be left wondering forever, and that thought irks me.  I fully expect them to reveal her face though personally.

Tali could have never danced in her life, yet she'd look like a pro next to Shepard.

I would L-O-V-E to see more dialog between Shep and Tali and just along the lines you said; something lighthearted, and personalized if possible. While the scenes on the chair and bed are sweet, I'd like to see something made especially for Tail.<3
