What do you think Tali keeps her suit clean with? I mean it is going to start to smell eventually so I imagine she uses some kind of soap to wash with. I wonder if she smells good when she walks by you.

I'm sure she smells good, it's Tali afterall

It's likely that the suit has some sort of gel it can use to prevent infections.

I bet it smells something like lavender.Image IPB

wait, what?

I honestly feel yet another 'suicide mission' would be a cop out. It seems like the entire theme of this series is that someone needs to 'stand up' and that a united force can stand against anything. That person is always Shepard. Throughout the game you're gaining allies (or strengthening the alliance).

If Shepard has to pull a deus ex Shepard out of his ass at the last minute to blow of the Reapers what was the point? The galaxy hasn't learned anything.

Edit: I actually really like that first one for some reason. not the picture I had envisioned at all, but still.

Indeed, the first one is awesome.

Ah, you mean the outside of the suit. I think in my fic I actually had the first two smells Shepard identified on her was the leather of her harness straps and the faint hint of oil. If any of you have ever done mechanic work you know how that smell gets into everything.

I don't belive that oil is used anymore in ME universe.

If it starts to smell bad without being dirty, it's probably because of bacteria. Bacteria that can cause an infection.

The main suit I actually think she would treat like you would a leather jacket or the like, some kind of cleaning agent that keeps the material supple. As for the veil for some reason I see that being washed by hand, in private. Actually is an amusing thought, what kind of cleaning agents she'd find on a human ship.

I don't belive that oil is used anymore in ME universe.

Why wouldn't it be? Any time metal touches metal you'll need some kind of lubrication. It might not be the same stuff we use today, of course, but I can't imagine there not being some form of liquid to prevent wear.

Edit: No, I got the saddle soap, Calin. After all, I did say 'some kind of cleaning agent'. Didn't specify :D

I just presume that many problems have been solved in the future, including smelly oil. But it's just speculation.

Only so much technology can advance in a certain amount of time, even with mass effect fields I can't see phasing out synthetic oils to allow for reduced friction. And the smell of oil isn't overpowering unless you've managed to dunk yourself in it. It's just pervasive.

Bioware really has to make more codex articles for ME3.
