Very true, but this actually could tie in with that poll posted a few pages back, something like this:

Shepard:  OK, we're down in our cabin, what's this present that I couldn't open up in the lounge?

Tali:  *stroking his cheek before lying down on the bed*  I'm the present captain.

i can accept the bioware expanations because they at least try to be scientifically plausible which is way more than can be said for many many other sci-fi franchises that i love.

That said

And most nights, I'm perfectly content with that. <3

However, any healthy relationship requires that you change things up, so every once in a while, I have no problems letting my quarian engineer know that I'm her captain, and she has an engine she needs to get cleaning, preferably in a manner that involves spit shining.
