In the beginning, the lord said 'Let there be light' and there was the electric bill, and it was good.

-------------
Imari looked at twisted creature his friend had become, the Reaper had possessed him completely. Shepherd was
barely human any more, his body looked like that of a possessed
Collector Drone.
“Okay Shepherd.. I know you're in there
lets not make this difficult.” Imari said drawing the monsters
attention.
“We have complete control of this
form. You're attempts are futile.” it
spoke the glowing hallows that were once Shepherds eyes narrowing.
“We'll
see.” Miranda laid next to Imari with Jack and Samara close
behind. Their face set and resolved with the limiters removed their
biotics had push far beyond anything known the blue.
“Foolish
insects.” The
possessed Shepherd hissed gathering a ball of energy in its hand. “
Die.”
“I could never
get through to you with just words...” Imari shot forward his
biotics flaring to life.
****
From a distance Tali watched rubbing her wrist. She wanted to be out there with him but she knew that she would just get in their way. Still it was hard to watch that monster living in Shepherds
body controlling him, manipulating his actions. She wanted nothing
more to be down there with Miranda team but this was a biotics fight
there was nothing that she could do. So for the first time in her
life she felt completely useless.
“They will bring him back Tali don't worry.” Garrus said placing as hand on
her comforting hand on her shoulders. Turning her gaze to his eyes
she could see him flinch with every thunderous clash in the distance,
still he was resolute. “You just got have faith in 'em, Miri,
Jack, Imari, and Samara.” She saw the resolve in him
, the belief in his crew mate, his friends, his family. “Shepherd
will find a way to break free and they will all come back.. They
don't know how to fail.”

Yea, it's great as long as you don't ever have to go outside. Heat isn't too bad. Walking into air that feels like swimming is.
Course I'm sure Tali would appreciate it just for the sensationBut I also suspect she'd rapidly get over the novelty.

Actually this question popped into my head the other day I think during the smell/suit conversation. Do you think quarians would sweat the way humans do or have some other form of heat regulation?

To be honest, the first thing that popped into my head was Tali, tongue hanging out, panting the in the heat.Tairis Deamhan wrote...

But for a 'nicer' mental image I'll just go with similar to humans

I'm slowly compiling my document of 'quarian facts' (and a smaller one of 'turian facts') for my fic that I'm going to try to work in. Your primal Tali bit has already found its way in there.

LOL, didn't think that would have the response it seems to be getting
It's just too entertaining of a concept not to use. So many possibilities.
@Thelacan: it's possible, but unlikely unless Rannoch is significantly cooler than I'd expect. Even assuming they're hairless I'd expect them to need some method of rapid heat dissipation if they are a predator that is going to be exerting itself to catch prey. Otherwise they'd run the risk of overheating too rapidly and being unable to catch food.

Which they should do, because it's been about four months since the last one. And a new outfit for Tali better be in it.

Rannoch is more arid then Earth and it's sun is older then Sol. So I presume that it is hotter then Earth.Tairis Deamhan wrote...

How about head ridges that when hot extend back behind the skulls. Similar to those dinosaurs with the 'sail' on them. Iridescent colors flow over them in the sunlight? Nice for finding a mate
Would they have to amputate them at birth so they wouldn't cause complications inside of a helmet?

Was it not mentioned that the sun is also orange in color? That denotes a cooler sun but if the planets orbit is much closer then all bets are off on the actual planetary temps.Savakka1 wrote...

Not really, think of a porcupine? It's quills can lay flat and only bristle when in danger. Frills on a number of animals are pliable, not ridged.RobotNixon wrote...

1) D'awww...
2) I think Calinstel was implying a cranial ridge on the top of the skull.
