I'm not sure we'll see Thane or Samara in ME3 anyway beyond some cameos - Thane has a death sentence disease (lung rot) and Samara is going on quests again (but can be called on if you are her friend). Not sure about Grunt, Shaman wants him back home to make Krogan lovin' to all the females he can and Jack...well she may just go about her crazy way depending on how she feels about the Normandy.

I bet all of the six LIs from ME2 are DEFINATELY coming back. Liara and Ash/Kaiden too. Legion is a definate, as is Mordin. I'd be willing to be we get a few new squadmates. I still think it'd be cool to have a Batarian on the team...
