What? The romances in ME2 have only just started. They're no where near no boundaries and mountains.Goat_Shepard wrote...

I think the love interests are sure to come back. If you bring back one for the final installment, you must bring back them all. And Thane just being a cameo...would not make sense at all. Neither would Jack, but Thane especially so.
But what do people really expect? Most of the romance subplots are already at fruition, without boundaries and mountains to climb in ME3, they'll be lame subplots anyway. The only thing left to do is say "I love you".
Yeah, while you're hitting on Tali with your femshep, mine will be in the AI CoreRiptideX1090 wrote...

What about clashing with your ME1 love interest? Tali'Zorah versus Ashley. Who will Shepard choose?
Here's a hint. It's not the racist ****.
My Shepard is a Tail purist, but I will YouTube the sh** out of the Tali vs Ash and Tali vs Liara fights.
Again, I tried to go pure Tali. Didn't work. I'm looking forward to the Tali/Ash confrontation.
Someone should write that up now, actually. I might do it. I dunno.

I could see a huge compilation of yotube videos of ME1 vs ME2 LI fights with all results, such as staying with ME1 or ME2. Or even losing both.

Its a challenge for Bioware, they have to come up with an engaging romance plot for the characters in ME3. How they do it is a mystery at this point, but there are plenty of ways they could make the romance arcs work. I think they were banking on forcing the player into an LI choice in ME3, but they can't have that be the only noteworthy thing. I'm hopeful for something having to do with reclaiming Rannoch for Tali, and them building on their relationship personally.

I doubt they'd have the balls, but Bioware did do it before. If you were a male character in Hordes of the Underdark, and had both Aribeth and Nathyrra in your party, you could romance both. At the end of the game, before the final battle, one would approach you romantically and be challenged by the other. You could try to convince them to share you, and while it was an INCREDIBLY tough charisma check, it could be passed.

Ash: Her?! What about us Shepard! I loved you! I thought we had something special!
Tali: You abandoned him! You called him a traitor! If you loved him, you'd know Shepard would never turn his back on you!
Ash: I love him! I'd do anything for him! What about you!? He'll never have children with you. You think you can make him happy? You two so much as kiss wrong, and one of you could end up in a coffin!
Tali: *visibly shaken* I... But... Shepard...

Tali took off her mask, Garrus blew off steam, Miranda got umm...she found lurve. What exactly isn't finished besides some people's daddy issues and Rannoch?

"Why do I have to choose? Maybe we could?"
Tali: "Dream on, commander".
Yeah, it'll be epic

But ME3 is still going to be a standalone game. How do you write any kind of plot for 9 characters that may or may not be in the game, while still handeling the Reapers and tracking 1000 decisions.
Every romance is pretty much finished except the ME1 LI's. Tali can take back the homeworld, but that's something to allude to, not tack on at the end.

Shep/Tali/LiaraKasumi for the win.
Hey, maybe Liara could imprint on both of them. Now that I think about it... that's probably the only way they could have a "biological" child.
