I doubt they'd have the balls, but Bioware did do it before. If you were a male character in Hordes of the Underdark, and had both Aribeth and Nathyrra in your party, you could romance both. At the end of the game, before the final battle, one would approach you romantically and be challenged by the other. You could try to convince them to share you, and while it was an INCREDIBLY tough charisma check, it could be passed.
I fully support this for ME3.
Shep/Tali/Liara for the win.
Hey, maybe Liara could imprint on both of them. Now that I think about it... that's probably the only way they could have a "biological" child.

Broken-Sins of Divine Mother
Got anything along these lines?
Shinedown - What a Shame (This song reminds me of a troubled Shepard (Akuze/Mendoir) and or Garrus going through what he did on Omega)
Disturbed - Dehumanize
v v v A little harder
FFDP - Never Enough
FFDP - Hate Me
There's some other, better ones, I just have to look through my music and see if I can find/remember them.

Here's a question...
Not that you ever would, but can you *not* recruit Tali in ME1? As I remember, you're given the option to take her or not after you prove Saren's guilt.
...man, how different would the game be if you didnt? And how would they do the scene on Freedom's Progress if she didn't go through ME1 with you?

Whether they're alive or not doesn't really matter. They're going to have to write the dialogue for the characters either way. They wrote dialogue for all of the characters in ME2, even though you don't have to actually talk to any of them. ME3 will be the same way, its not like you can't skip conversations, they're just there for character interaction. The only decisions that will matter is whether or not they're alive, and whether or not they were romanced. The LI's already have two branches of conversation, that isn't some new hang up.
As far as the relationships, they got to the first peak. They're still new and undeveloped relationships though. That's what ME3 should be, the build up of love to an even stronger, unbreakable bond.

It's possible with Garrus, so maybe you can do it with Tali as well.

not really they just so the story assuming most will have at least one playthrough with everyone surviving, the simply cut out elements based on what characters didnt survive and place in less thrilling scenes that still alow continutiy of the story and a various levels of acknowledgements of the characters absence i.e like Wreave being leader of Urdnot instead of wrex. As for new players they should be purged with fireGoat_Shepard wrote...
People that start a new game in ME3 should start with Ashleykaiden and Liara...and that's all.
It's only fair.
But the only truly fair thing would be no ME2 squaddies for anybody. Their stories have all finished, it'd be too hard to write in characters that could be dead and keep it interesting to new players.

Definitely give "Never Enough" a listen, the lyrics are great. Kinda reminds me of Xen for some reason.
EDIT: And if you dig FFDP, check out Hatebreed. They're play motivational metal, lyrics are ****ing power in text form.

So we're talking about a romance subplot IF you romanced them, IF they're alive, IF you choose to talk to them. Not to mention new gamers are supposed to enjoy this, so the familiarity will be lost, so they gotta be mindful of the "whothe****arethesecharacters" demographic.
Forgive me if I'm skeptical.
