They didn't give it to us before because they didn't need to.  Their was only one entering timeline, and that was with Garrus and Tali joining Shep after 2 years, with no serious variable from ME1.  They don't have that option this time.  They have to acknowledge it in some way.  Changing 2 or 3 conversations is hardly impossible.  I don't buy the whole "they didn't do it before, so they won't do it now," argument personally.

That's why I'm skeptical; cuz ME3 is the merging of all these things for the first time. The first time you'll continue a romance.

That worries me a little as well, but at the same time, Bioware knows the opportunity they have here.  I see ME3 pretty much being the point where Bioware either continues their awesome streak of games, or goes completely over to the darkside of selling their souls and pandering to the masses.  And I expect the former.

9 LIs....1000 decisions....fighting the war....finishing the war. It's just too much for me not be be pessimistic about the quality.

The unimportant decisions from ME2 will likely be handled in a similar way as they were from ME1>ME2.  Ignored completely, or something insignificant like an email.  For maleShep, who cares how many times you actually talked to Thane, or how you treated him, I expect to start out on the same foot in ME3.  The only difference I expect is a different dialogue branch for the existing LI.  Even that likely wouldn't factor in more than 'romanced? Yes/No.'

Again, this doesn't mean bad though, just that the limitations are able to be worked around.

The reason why I don't think Michel would work is because she's not really Garrus' type. She's not exactly a woman with guns ablazing fighting criminals and other undesirables.

No, instead she is a healer, helping all that need it, regardless of their deeds (free clinic any0ne?)

Ever heard of opposites attract? =]

Plus, she would be able to tend to him after a hard day at the office.:wizard:

I think BW'll pull it out and make the "faithful" folks happy, myself. I mean, it's not as if they could make them much angrier than they already are.

I think you've doomed Miranda by putting this in the Tali thread. There has been a whole lot of Tali-hate by some Miranda fans. (And vice-versa to be fair.)

Why didn't you just put it in the Jack and Miranda threads and let them duke it out?

@spitfire: I responded to your post in the "What people don't get about Tali." You may want to make amends to your post there in order to avoid misinterpretation of your meaning.

Its not like these random shipping things have some concrete right or wrong answer.  The reason one person thinks Garrus likes femShep will be different from the next.  Dr. Michel, (or any random bit character) is a near nonexistent character, how you fill in her personality is a huge variable.  No one can say definitively that any of these characters would or wouldn't like the other, because we don't know everything about them, and what we do know can be interpreted in different ways.

That does bring up an interesting question:  Why do Tali fans seem to prefer Jack over Miranda?

Is it just the Cerberus thing or what?

Do Talimancers just have a thing for outcasts?

Part of it. I found that Miranda fans tended to be more apologetic for Cerberus, if not in support of them. Whereas Jack and Tali fans tend not to be.

Do Talimancers just have a thing for outcasts?

Tali and Jack are indeed pretty much deviant from the typical "love interest" model. Tali's in a suit. Can't see her face. Intimacy is dangerous. Jack is a rebel dressed in tattoos, shaved head, abrasive attitude. It's easy to feel sorry for her, moreso than Miranda.

Yes garrus is attracted to badass Femshep, doesn't mean he isn't attracted to the opposite by any means though.

Nuclear: Only ever made one post in here before acknowledging my Tali love (which was ignored I think :pinched:), other than that its been all lurkery for me.

On a side note, all the LI ME3 talk has got me thinking: How do people think that Bioware will handle the "I love you's" when it comes down to it? The only LI to mention love in ME2 is Miranda I think, so there is a good amount of leeway.

^ Mostly an open question to provoke conversation.

I doubt there's some all-encompassing reason really.  I haven't put nearly as much thought into why I like Jack as why I like Tali, but its nothing like anti-Cerberus or outcast love.  Jack just appeals to me a lot more than Miranda.
