Well, the romance does continue. Just
not in a very pleasant way.
That makes me feel so much better about the continued romances in ME3 lol I know I know game mechanics forced Ashleykaiden away and something entirely otherworldly forced Liara away, but this isn't a dating sim, I can't think 9 LIs will get quality writing and an ending. Rannoch? Yeah, alluded to maybe.

That worries me a little as well, but at the same time, Bioware knows the opportunity they have here. I see ME3 pretty much being the point where Bioware either continues their awesome streak of games, or goes completely over to the darkside of selling their souls and pandering to the masses. And I expect the former.
The unimportant decisions from ME2 will likely be handled in a similar way as they were from ME1>ME2. Ignored completely, or something insignificant like an email. For maleShep, who cares how many times you actually talked to Thane, or how you treated him, I expect to start out on the same foot in ME3. The only difference I expect is a different dialogue branch for the existing LI. Even that likely wouldn't factor in more than 'romanced? Yes/No.'
Again, this doesn't mean bad though, just that the limitations are able to be worked around.
We'll learn more as time progresses, I guess. We as completionists will get "something", but you can only hope the difference isn't as petty as the difference from ME1-ME2.
Bioware turning more mainstream isn't comforting, either.
Wow Phil, you're like the only person I've ever had discussions with on here. This place is like a gd chat room I swear....for uhh..me at least.
