Before they do, I've seen a lot of anger and resentment towards Miranda for doing it where she did it. And I've watched the Mirifans bend over trying to somehow justify it.

Oh how we do lol I've concluded that Mirifans think she's into bondage :lol:

That is actually my primary source of disrespect for Miranda. She was trying to defend Cerberus when Jack
confronted her about the Teltin facility. Cerberus may not have been the ones active during the experiments, but they are still irresonsible.
And Miranda just says to lay off of Cerberus.../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png

80% of Cerberus facilities go rogue. When the number is that high (I'm guestimating) they aren't rogue lol

And Miranda called Jack a mistake. I mean...dude. The experiment was a mistake, but you're just being a b!tch, now.

Hey...who wants some Tali?

@Phil: Thanks man, you're awesome.

@Goat: Thanks man. Happy to be here. :D

I'll let you all know when my fanfic is up. I still need to flesh out some major ideas; and I'm also in the midst of working on scripts for a 5 issue comic book mini-series. (unrelated to Mass Effect). That of which I should really work on to make up for some time I've procrastinated with lol.

Thanks again, all. :)

And what?  Your good buddy came around, and we cracked some jokes at his expense.

Azint = Niceral?

wtf

I can see how you might not think that's funny.  But it was at the time, since it seemed to cause irritation.

That is EXACTLY the point. I think the writers actually left hints, trying to tell you that Jacob and Miranda where just the "porn star" options. Jacob even tells femshep, if she wants something deep and really meaningful, go talk to Garrus. The thing with the engine room and Kasumi's comment is like them saying "JACKASS! How could you turn down Tali! BOSH'TET!"

Kasumi's line when you turn down Miranda during the culmination is a very nice preemptive karma strike.

One of the things that makes the engine room choice suspect is that Kasumi implies sort of the same thing that "tali fans" have been saying.

I've yet to see a good explanation otherwise.  That was just a real poor move on the part of the writers no matter how you slice it.

The big apologist reason I've read from Mirifans is that Miranda is an insecure control freak and wanted Shep somewhere on her terms. (And this is what they use to defend that action...)

Heh, I don't think they'd word it they way you did. What I heard from them is that Miranda chose the engine room because it was "equal ground." If they had chosen one or the other's bedroom, then it would establish one person as "higher."

Jack cares about herself. At least she's honest about it. Miranda is a barefaced liar. I'll take Jack's brutal honesty over Miranda's double talk and Illusive Man Worship.

Alright, I'll give you that one.

I gave Veetor to them on a pure Renegade runthrough, the only time I ever did it. Turns out, they pumped him full of drugs to get him into a lucid state, restrained him, and failed to give him any food or water, leaving him a clinically insane wreck.

So what gives you the impression that Miranda knew they would do this, or upon learning, she thought it was fine?

There are several options. Best guess? She called up Jack to have a chat about what happened on Pragia, spewed some non-sense about how it wasn't REALLY Cerberus's fault, and asked her if she was going to continue being a problem with the Cerberus personel on the ship.

So do you think what Miranda said justified Jack to fling a chair at her?

Miranda knew EXACTLY what was going to happen to him. She's worked with Cerberus for years, maybe decades. She knows their methods. You think she gives a damn about some scared kid who get's in humanitie's way? REALLY?

No. I honestly wish Jack had killed her. She was tortured for years. Experimented on. It led to her getting hunted, raped on several occasions, sold into slavery, and God only knows what else. Anything from Miranda other than getting on her hands and knees and begging for forgiveness with tears in her eyes is unacceptable. As I said. only reason I dont' kill her on purpose for the Suicide Mission is because I might need a **** to sell to the batarians in the event I run out of deutritium.

From what I've read, it's like Collider said. She wanted somewhere neutral but she got to pick it. (so it's not exactly neutral.)

Being told that you're a mistake and that being tortured most of your childhood is nobody's fault?  Shoot, I dunno.  I don't like getting violent in conversation, but I'm trying hard to think of a better reason to get physically demonstrative.

When Miranda called Jack a mistake; I was sure she meant that what was done to her was the mistake. Not even Miranda would be that catty.

Too bad that's what the writers put in her mouth, then.
