Truly? yay! I'll throw out the lat one, also with a request for some new music, again. Discovering new artists seems to spark my muse.

Help me Tali-thread. You are my only Hope!

This is my favorite kind of FF. Probably because destroying mercs who shot down his friends is the most realistic way for Shepard to show affection, and then the unknowns...oh the unknowns!

Btw Helena Blake will die!

And you were serious about music? There's so much material out there, my friend, I can't begin to know where to point to first.

I speculate like this with all the characters. I happen to actually like all of them. Not as LI's for My Shepards,
of course, but that is personal preference. I find all of the characters engaging, 3 dimensional, and memorable. Plus, my This and That series features all of them, save Samara and Thane (and Thane will still get
some bits), mostly 'cause I can't see either of them actually staying  with Shepard after the battle, not 'cause I dislike them.

Jack is one of my favorites though, along with Garrus and Tali. And Grunt. By the dice, Grunt gets some of he very best lines in the game.

I find that odd just cuz the characters are so different, you're bound to find a couple that don't click with you, ya know? Respecting Bioware's design of a character is one thing, but liking them...I mean they're so different. I gotta give Bioware more cred (or me less)

The Jack thread is pretty good. You should post there more often. As should Azint and privateerkev. Would be
fun.

Gotta lurk, first. It's one thing to support the character, it's another to be able to contribute to the conversation; what I wanna do. Gotta actually hear all the dialogue in-game (not youtube).

I like most of the characters in terms of writing quality, or as characters. As "people," some of them I am going to like more, some less, and some not so much. I do like analyzing them. My favorite of course being Tali, but Jack is also fun.

I got by in the Jack thread without having done her romance. Not much in the way of analyzing Jack, but there are still some good discussions in there a lot of the time.

I usually tread the line between "reasonable predictions of character's thoughts and behavior" and my biased opinion.

I take a lot of characters at face value without exploring them more, that's where these thread's come in...you know...for speculation of content seen or unseen in game...that I probably won't see myself.

Yeah...that made sense.

You what? You never....huh? I never even looked on youtube.

That thread is a treasure trove is what it is. Those fans are geniuses, I never read such long and thought-out posts. That's why I'm lurking. I went in the Samara thread once...holy ****, beyond my mental facilities and available hours in the day.

Anyways yeah I'm speaking off-topic about other fan's on-topicness.  It must be late.

Having her live turns out, in ME2 to be even more of a Paragon decisions than I thought.  To the point I actually felt like a hero after talking with her on Omega.  Seriously.

Obscure artists, or artists I haven't heard much of, are preferred. Examples: I was introduced to Red and Sub-Urban Tribe recently. Both sparked stories.

Oh, I have favorites. But I find myself liking all of them. Some less than others, but I don't outright hate any of the characters.

Except the Illusive Man and the entity that is Cerberus. I despise them - the mark of good writing that I can dislike the villain so intensely.

As an Aside. You be a Jack fan. Take a look at Brawling, a fic of mine. Not Tali related. I would like to know what a Jack fan has to say about it.

Interesting. I usually kill her and all her mercs for the XP. Luckily haven't done that mission yet in my current playthrough.

You sound like me, always lookin for that hidden jem. Red is one of my favorites and was totally obscured like you said. Never heard of Sub-Urban Tribe, they're pretty good, might check more of 'em out :wizard:

Maybe a PM is in order.

I'm becoming aware of that likeness amongst all the characters. With those that I simply hate, like Cerberus, I'm figuring out the truth that I simply love to hate them. Certain characters aren't downers anymore, they're creating a fire both good and bad. Mostly thanks to this website since I haven't played in such a long time.

Sounds good, I'll read it for sure. I'm interested in any fic about Jack since IMO it takes some balls to feel confident in writing her. For now, must sleep, I hear birds.

I mean those story filling DLCs. I hope there won't be long intervals between them, like four months per chapter. I don't think I can keep my interest for each part up that long.

Whatever they do, I hope the next mission DLC is a little more substantial than the Overlord one.

And no more Cerberus assignements, please. I'm done cleaning up their mess, just because they're so incompetent, that they can't keep their own people in check.

I want some clues on how we are going to prepare for the Reapers and similar things. Parts which feels like they are contributing something to the overall story and are not just more obstacles.

Agreed with you here.  If I want to just kill something I can just play the game over.  I want advancement and more interaction with the crew.  Hell, if they came out with a full blown addon for the game I would buy it.  Well, that is if it wasn't something as lame as overlord.  BW has got to correct the, to me, glaring mistake of no team interaction.

Helloes everyone!

Team interaction would be so great. Even a regular sleep/work-rythm to the ship would be. The combat can be shooter but the exploration and everything else just roleplaying. That would be neat.

Especially Garrus. His dialogues are barely small talk if you play as a male Shep. He deserves some more.

Overlord wasn't badly made, its story is just something that we've seen many times before, and it's not so exciting as it used to be.

But most of all. I want to set the stage for ME3 in a memorable way.

And some actual rewards for these missions would be nice too. A real motivation to do them. If I could unlock a outfit for Tali, a new interesting and useful weapon, or any other rich and/or satisfying reward, I would gladly do that mission more than just once.

I have to agree that I don't want another Cerberus sidequest thing again. I've already seen enough of their **** ups - I get it by now.

I have to point, that the only time when Cerberus' ops goes sideways, they will have something to do with Shepard.

Agreed with no more Cerberus issues. BW has definitely shown them to be bad for everyone. For such a human oriented group they sure do love to kill humans.

Although I would love to see more LI storyline I would be just as happy seeing the actual plot line continued. Though more Tali is always a good thing :)

So  I just finished getting caught up  on the  post from last night and the Miranda/Jack argument just had me face palming.  Its getting to the point where  its just a bunch of children screaming  how the don't like  someone but not taking to the understand... Its just getting childish and tiring at this point.   That being said i am going to put my two cents in. I know a lot of people  like Miranda and I know a lot of  people like  Jack..  A lot of my friends acted or still act like jack and come to for advice etc. So I will give  you all some  insight and wisdom in the Jack  character.

Jack is a ****ing  coward thats it, I don't say be cause i hate her I say this because Its the truth.  She is stuck in her own head most of the time and is all about how she see things.  Hey is why is coward, she  not dealing with anything she is running from  own person demons. She is being a victim.  "Look at me this is what Cerberus did  to me I hate them.. Look at me."  Now that being she said she  is  right in her hate of Cerberus but at some point in time you have to let it go. Now she is letting is consume  and control her. The past controls Jack  and she is a coward because she is to afraid to let it go to move on from it.       You know what sometimes you get dealt a ****ty hand in life and you may never know why but you can either pick yourself up and deal with it  or you lay down  on ground and wallow in self pity.

Is this harsh  yep it is but its the truth

I'm not Jack's biggest fan, but getting tortured, isolated, and pumped with narcotics at a young age to condition you into a weapon and then repeatedly abused, raped, and damaged throughout the brief period of your life goes abit beyond 'got dealt a crappy hand'.

I'd want to be in Hell right now, because it's probably cooler down there than up here.

But I guess Tali is doing pretty good.

More like the worst possible hand. Of all time.
