Definitely, I might ask you for it again when I'm to that point in my story cause I can definitely see adopting it as 'canon' in my fic. I pretty much agree with all of it.

Believe it or not, I'm more than just a perverted artist and writer, you know.

Some might say I'm actually fairly intelligent, or something.

At any rate, I'm glad we've all achieved some consensus. That's always cool.

Question. Have you crazy Talimaniacs determined what her interests are beyond cleaning engines and junk? I guessed she would like roguelikes, but beyond that...

Anything mechanical. Reading seems likely, she seems to have a natural curiousity for the things around her, especially for anything electronic. Growing up on a ship, I bet she probably likes a good vid game, or a good movie.

or a good action adventure series like Voyage of the PausImage IPB

Part of me doesn't want her to have too many nerdy interests...mostly because I like character diversity!  You could run with the Paus series and consider that she's an action junkie.  Doesn't like to live it for real, mind you, but she likes some good gunplay on TV.

This would also be acceptable. Consensus achieved and all that.

Also thinking off the top of my head of quarians classifying two kinds of relationships:

'Suit' relationships and 'Face' relationships, one being when things only happen outside the suit and possibly considered a little less formal, and the second much more significant and signifying a deep trust (obviously).

Would also need to make up appropriate words.

Yea, popped into my head imagining a post ME2 scene with Shala or one of the other admirals using the quarian equivalent of 'Friends with benifits' and Tali acting offended and correcting them.

I think a lot of it is similar to human relationships, at least in the aspect that everyone is different, has different tastes, different wants.

I, personally, think quarians put a lot more emphasis on trust than humans, as each encounter with a new partner would bring a higher statistical probablility of death. Mating for life seems likely, as does some kind of union or union ceremony similar to marriage. As for practice outside of the suit, I imagine it's similar to what you'd see in humans. Different couples are into different things, will try new things if a partner or both desire, will find things that make both people happy. Communal nature suggests the actual sharing and participation of both people is what is the most important. Allowing the trust to grow and expand. I personally feel this lends itself to a more open minded way of thinking. Couples who are willing to build and share with their partner will inevitably be willing ot try different things. Similar to long term human relationships.

It seems obvious enough that the quarians would be putting so much at risk when ever deciding to engage in any sort of intimacy, especially since in most cases it really would just be a recreational activity between them. Quarians seem to have just as much risk being with each other than they do of any other species, they can easily transmit any sort of illness to further stagger the weak immune system, STD's for want of a better word, that could also contribute to their apparent conservative nature. But by factoring in all these risks and preparation, it illustrates very well how much a quarian would care about their partner. It states that a quarian would risk death to show much they care, a passionate but accurate depiction.

As for relationships with other species, again, depends mostly on the other person. Anyone who is willing to have sex with someone of another species would likely be inherently VERY open minded. That Tali and that one girl on Illium were so open about liking humans suggests that quarians place the most emphasis on how much they trust a person, meaning that as long as they trust that person enough to take off their suit, they're likely very enthusiastic and open everything else. Once a quarian is out of their suit, they're risking their life for the other person. Once you cross that threshold, race, gender, and sexual tastes wouldn't matter as much as it would for two humans. While I'm not sure about how quarians feel about same sex relationships... someone pointed out that it may be more common amongst quarians, who emphasize trust and birth control, possibly leading to the practice being slightly less taboo than it would be in our culture, or so one would think.

I am not so sure that a quarian would be so open-minded after having likely lived a sheltered life, I imagine them having to push through layers of anxiety just to consider being with another species. Quarian standards would indicate that they must be very deliberate and careful for ever having to pursue a relationship with one another, no less for a species that likely does not share chirality. It would not neceassarily be them fearing to love another species, it would be them being unsure on how to approach it. Same-sex relationships, I never really considered among quarians, but I do wonder how it would compare for a female quarian to find love with an asari.

I know I'm probably going to get skewered for this one... but bondage also seems like it could potentially be popular amongst quarians experiencing a relationship with another race. Taking of the suit requires an extreme level of trust, you're essentially trusting your partner with your body, your health, and your life. A non-quarian would not be able to replicate this on the same level as their partner. Bondage presents a unique solution, as the non-quarian must now entrust THIER well-being and health to their partner, effectively leveling the playing field a bit. I sincerly doubt masochism or sadism would be very popular though, as I doubt a quarian would be too interested in spending what little time they have outside of their suit inflicting pain, and inflicting it on them would just be plain irresponsible. Roleplay would likely vary, I can see it going either way. Important to remember that each quarian and partner is different. Some relationships are one-dimensional, others are not.

I think these fetishes extend and merit to the same degree of any typical fetish for any species, I would never doubt the prescence of kinky quarians. Part of me is thinking that once a quarian takes their suit off for fun for the first time, it would inspire them to seek out some new things. But the other part of me is thinking that perhaps the quarian may feel they are aleady pushing their own boundaries by even engaging in any sort of intimate contact. I guess it would vary between individuals, much like real-life fetishes, but for different reasons. I wager that any sort of inter-species sex is already a major fetish, and considering how rife it is online here, it could go even further for the already physically constrained quarians.

Beyond that, I'm sure that any strong relationship is built on the same principles, regardless of race. Love, trust, and making your partner happy. As long as you have that, the rest really doesn't matter.

Love, Rip. Love will find a way.
