This would be a great time to post that screenshot I've got from 4chan about Liz Sroka, but Collider might burst a vein or something.

The sad thing is I know exactly which one you're talking about off the top of my head, and I haven't seen it in a month or something. :?

Jack doesn't get that much hate on the forum. It's mostly Tali or Miranda. And those who do talk crap about Jack, they are usually Miranda fans.

Garrus has gotten some amount of hate for being "too popular" and "cool." He may be going to the way of Tali eventually. I've already seen some backlash about Garrus' popularity. It's nothing huge, but it's there and seems to be increasing.

Are you sure we're talking about the same Jack? Bald, body-tattood, angry bison Jack?

I only mean that the characters are so diverse, so there's a crazy amount of hate. And it's not a knock on the characters, because there's that much more love for each person.

Which post?

Figuring out Jacob can lead a distraction team earlier than figuring out Miranda can

"I just know Jack's gunna kill her and Garrus will show up at the door as the team leader anyway".

Garrus is the only one apt for team leader in the suicide mission.

I was browsing gamefaqs, and a few select individuals have decided that in light of Tali's popularity, Tali sucks and they hate her, and Quarians should be butchered on the street because it is hardcore anarchist **** yo

A certain Jack/Samara/Morinth fan that frequents the forum really annoys me. Not because he dislikes Tali but because of his moronic views on the geth/quarian conflict. You know who I am talking about and we do not need to say names.

Yes. We are. On BSN I don't see a lot of hate. Elsewhere, there seems to be a bit more. Either way, I think Tali is hated the most because it's cool to hate what is popular.

It can not be unread. Just mentioning it burst a blood vessel.

Who thinks of that sh!t anyway?

/rhetorical question.

THIS.

Seriously.  Thought I should note that to Miranda's credit, I'm sure she'd follow like she was supposed to because she understands how a team dynamic is supposed to work.

Yeah, Garrus every time.

And never choose Zaeed. Especially when you have Tali as your tech. :crying:

The only real thing I felt could indicate Miranda's abilities would be her genetic enhancements or whatever and her experience leading projects and being rather hardline. Other than that, she seems like she would NOT be a good team leader.

With Jacob, you could say it's worse, because we are given no indication that Jacob would be a good leader. In fact his corsair days and saving the citadel seems to indicate that he rides solo. He led the security team on Lazarus station, but they never saw any combat. So I was genuinely surprised by his character description in the suicide mission and the fact that he could lead.

From my experience, Jack is either the/one of the deepest romance options, or a crazy bat who would shiv you in the back for your lunch money.

Yeah, mostly 12 year olds.

If you're looking for it, it's there.  All the "father wasn't ready for command," "events will propell him to greatness or break him utterly," "trying to find himself" stuff.

I was actually so desperate to not choose Miranda that I chose Jacob and lucked out :D then find Garrus can lead both teams. Thank the Maker.

Fair point - but in context of this discussion, it was far too subtle. Making the skills of the squad mates you have unknown is against the point of the suicide mission.

If it pleases you, this is what Garrus will say to Miranda if Jack is dead:

(accusatory, pointing)" I don't want you leading the second team! Half of us don't even trust you."

Judging from all the fail I've seen on these forums, EVERYTHING was too subtle.  How many people have thought Thane should do the vents?  Or Zaeed or Samara or WTFwhoever lead a squad?

Not particularly.  Garrus should know better than to get all inflamatory in a briefing.
